After vehicles, weapons are the second most iconic aspect of Grand Theft Auto series. The need for weapons in GTAs crime-filled sandbox has grown as the franchise has moved from gang warfare to murder to bank robbery, and Grand Theft Auto 6 has the wherewithal to take the franchise's arsenal to the next level. While only a few weapons have been confirmed for Grand Theft Auto 6 through trailers and official media screenshots, those that have been shown give fans a good idea of what to expect GTA 6s battle.
From trailers for GTA 6it's clear that the streets of Vice City are anything but safe, and protagonists Jason and Lucia will need the right weapons for everything from small-scale heists to full-scale heists. GTA 5 really paved the way for the franchise's arsenal, giving players access to a ton of military gear that represents some of the best weapons in GTA series. The arms confirmed for GTA 6 already paints a clear picture for players hoping to see the game compete with its predecessor, and there are likely even more that have yet to be revealed.
Weapons are an important part of GTA onlines PvP combat, so there will likely be an even bigger arsenal to choose from once GTA 6s version of On-line is launched.

Rockstar has primarily stuck to showing GTA 6handguns and melee weapons in the pre-release content that has been shared so far. Classic GTA melee weapons like baseball bats and golf clubs aren't surprising to see return, and it's nice to see hammers and pool cues return since the melee weapons originally debuted in GTA: Vice City and San Andreasrespective. There's plenty of room for even more melee weapons to join this list, given how almost any hand-held item can be conceivably used as a weapon.

The Duke Arms Company has several weapons to appear in GTA 6such as the Mustang .357 Handgun, with the manufacturer making its series debut in this post. Also debuts in GTA 6 is the gun manufacturer Capo, who is confirmed to have at least one gun available in the game. The polymer gun appears to be the default weapon for both Jason and Lucia, and is also shown used by several other NPCs, including VPD officers. Two unknown handguns based on the real Beretta 92FS and the Bersa Thunder 380 have also been featured in GTA 6 media, but their names and manufacturers have not been confirmed.
As for larger arms, GTA 6 has a few confirmed weapons so far, such as the double-barreled shotgun, which has only been available in GTA: Chinatown Wars and GTA online to date. Duke Arms Company also has several assault rifles available in GTA 6both are carbine variants. A submachine gun based on the Heckler & Koch MP5/40 has also been seen used by Lucia in the second GTA 6 trailer.
Two types of sniper rifles have been confirmed for GTA 6 via official screenshots and trailers. The first is a Bolt Action Sniper that appears to be based on a Remington 700 BDL, while the second is an assault sniper made by the Duke Arms Company. The grenade launcher is the only heavy weapon that has been officially confirmed, and it appears to be the same one manufactured by Shrewsbury in GTA 5 and GTA online.

While none of these weapons have been officially confirmed, they have been leaked to be present in the GTA 6. Some of these leaked weapons appear to be obvious additions to the game, such as multiple types of golf clubs to complement the mini golf club that has already been confirmed. Other leaked weapons only have vague descriptions, like the different types of SMGs rumored to appear, so it's unclear if these are new versions of existing ones GTA weapons or completely different weapons.

Perhaps the most interesting leaked weapon is the speargun, which is said to debut as a heavy arm in GTA 6. Spearfishing off the coast of Vice City and Leonida Keys seems like it would be an entertaining pastime GTA 6and then taking that Speargun and wreaking havoc in Vice City itself would just be the icing on the cake. Expands the types of throwable weapons i Grand Theft Auto series would also be nice to see, so seeing leaked weapons like golf balls and smoke grenades along with other grenades and molotovs points to a more robust arsenal of this weapon type in GTA 6.
