Marvel Rivals and Fortnite are a surprisingly perfect match
Fortnite fans can get a free glider by playing Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals' partnership with Fortnite was originally announced on November 11, though details on how Chronoverse's Collaboration would unfold were scarce. Marvel was Fortnites first massive collaboration of 2018. Despite its various Marvel-themed cosmetics and events since, Marvel Rivals makes history as the first Marvel game to collaborate with Fortnite. Starting on December 6, Fortnite players will have one month to acquire a Rivaled Sailer Glider to complete ten matches in Marvel Rivals.
Players must play

through the Epic Games Store to earn this item. They must complete ten matches, which cannot be custom games.
Playing Marvel Rivals will give one free Fortnite items, but it is unknown if this partnership will see elements from Fortnite appears in NetEase Games' third-person shooter. With speculation that this could be the first of many crossovers between the two games, this event could lead to more cosmetics, such as fresh skins for Marvel heroes already in Fortnite or completely new characters like Jeff the Land Shark, the Punisher, Winter Soldier and Magik. Notable that it is implied via Fortnites official X account that a new outfit would go perfectly with the glider.
Fortnite may also add a Marvel Rivals themed outfit
Fans are hopeful that the new Marvel Outfit will be Doom 2099, an alternate future version of Doctor Doom, after Marvel Rivals teased that the cosmetics should go to someone who “wreaks havoc in multiple realities.” Although this could also refer to Galacta, the game's narrator and daughter of Galactus, famously Fortnite leaks ShiinaBR and FNBRintel have indicated that it will be Doom 2099. If this turns out to be correct, it is also likely a free new cosmetic for players of both games.
“Fans are hopeful that the new Marvel Outfit will be Doom 2099.”
While the addition of Doom 2099 is only a rumor, his inclusion in the crossover makes sense, given that Doctor Doom is the overall villain in Marvel Rivals. As you can see in the movie No One Rivals Doom trailer and Marvel Rivalsmap-specific stories, it is because of him that different universes collide and create crises. Also, a fresh outfit would be well timed after Doctor Doom was added as an additional boss Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 4.
All in all, it's clear that December is going to be huge for Marvel fans, with the hype involving globally successful games like Fortnite. Regardless of the obvious gameplay differences between Marvel Rivals and Fortniteboth games share a clear dedication to nurturing Marvel's story and characters. Therefore, as surprising as the collaboration may be, the two may turn out to be a match made in heaven.
