Released on December 6th, NetEase Games invites players to embody beloved Marvel villains and heroes for thrilling 6v6 super-powered battles. With Marvel Rivals' content roadmap stacked with new characters in Season 0, eight maps and various other additions, there's a lot to be excited about.




Interestingly, while the title is getting a lot of attention and is likely to boast a significant player base come December, the launch also benefits other games. For example, not only is Marvel Rivals collaborate with games like Marvel Snapbut it also partners with Epic Games Fortnite. While this crossover may seem odd at first, it makes a lot of sense.

Marvel Rivals' partnership with Fortnite was originally announced on November 11, though details on how Chronoverse's Collaboration would unfold were scarce. Marvel was Fortnites first massive collaboration of 2018. Despite its various Marvel-themed cosmetics and events since, Marvel Rivals makes history as the first Marvel game to collaborate with Fortnite. Starting on December 6, Fortnite players will have one month to acquire a Rivaled Sailer Glider to complete ten matches in Marvel Rivals.

Playing Marvel Rivals will give one free Fortnite items, but it is unknown if this partnership will see elements from Fortnite appears in NetEase Games' third-person shooter. If this turns out to be correct, it is also likely a free new cosmetic for players of both games.

While the addition of Doom 2099 is only a rumor, his inclusion in the crossover makes sense, given that Doctor Doom is the overall villain in Marvel Rivals.
