Considering it's a survival crafting game, there's no shortage of different materials that players will need to collect as they try to breathe life back into the land of Tower of Aghasba. All lootable resources serve different purposes and will be needed at different times, so it's important to note where and how you can acquire particular items.

One such resource that can come in handy is Kelp, as the underwater plant can take on a number of roles during your playthrough. Because of this, develop a knowledge of how to get Kelp in Tower of Aghasba can be crucial to your survival.

How to get kelp in Towers of Aghasba

Kelp is a pretty useful resource, as you can feed it to yourself, certain animals, and even use it to complete some building guides, especially those involving Enchanted Dung. Although useful, collecting the material in large quantities can be a challenge. That's because until you repair the Lutoro Bridge to the mainland, you'll only be able to retrieve it by taking a swim.

There are two main ways to collect Kelp:

• Of harvest sea plantsespecially floating trees
• Of harvest salt ferns in tropical climates

Although harvesting is relatively easy, the persistence mechanics of the game can make collecting underwater Kelp a bit tedious. It's good to keep that in mind your stamina will only be replenished when you are on the beachnot when swimming above the surface. If you're not careful with your stamina bar, you can very easily find yourself drowned and having to start over from your nearest village.

How to harvest floating trees

It can be difficult to find the right plants in your search for Kelp, especially when the seas you are navigating are quite large and you are really short on time. Thankfully, the main source of Kelp is easy to identify, making it less challenging to manage your stamina and harvest at the same time.

Floating trees are exactly as the name suggests, and are similar to regular trees that you would cut down with your rock ax, in that they are rooted in the seabed and are really tall. You will be able to spot this from a considerable distance, especially since they are rarely surrounded by anything else. All you have to do is approach these plants and press the indicated button to harvest it for Kelp.

How to Harvest Salt Ferns

As mentioned before, you have to cross the Lutoro Bridge before you can even get into the right circumstances to get the Salt Ferns, but even then it will be extra work. To get Salt Ferns, you need to plant the Colossal Seed for the Tropical Ecosystem. This will require talking to Pawel and then helping the god Huldra. After completing the quest line, you will receive the required seed.

With the seed planted, the Salt Fern will become a staple in your tropical ecosystem, so simply plant more tropical seeds to increase your supply of the plant. Generally speaking, planting a tropical seed will result in either a Raro tree or Salt Fern. Once you have one, simply walk up to it and use your rock shovel (or better) to harvest the material from the plant.

What is Kelp used for?

Kelp is versatile in that it has medicinal properties that can be transferred to the player or to the wildlife they encounter. Given that one of its facilities has this resource in abundant supply, it's no surprise that it can actually be used to feed animals as well. In general, Kelp can be used for the following:

• It can be used for heal some animals that are injured
• In can be used for feed animalsin exchange for Dung, Amity and other dropped items.
• It can be used for complete ordersespecially those set by Enchanted Dung.
