A player who had called the police on them ignored the police to go back to their game ARC Raiders. Oddly enough, the obsession with ARC Raiders was part of the reason the police were called in the first place.
Even if ARC Raiders was extremely popular at the time of its release, the title has seen a steady decline in active players in recent months. On Steam, ARC Raiders achieved an incredible player peak of just under 482,000 people simultaneously playing the game, and at the beginning of the year, ARC Raiders had passed 12 million sales in total. While some players have moved on or split their time between ARC Raiders and other games, it appears that at least one player is extremely engaged in the game.

New Extraction Shooter on Steam is Next ARC Raiders, with a unique mechanic
Extraction shooters have been blowing up on Steam lately, but an upcoming game has the potential to be the next ARC Raiders, but with a twist.
ARC Raiders players continue to play
According to a report coming out of Pennsylvania, police were called on June 20 because of a fight. A woman, aged 49, claimed that a 39-year-old man had hit her while the two were arguing. The woman claimed that the 39-year-old had cheated on her, and was addicted to ARC Raiderswhich led to the physical altercation. After the police arrived and took her statement, they tried to talk to the 39-year-old player to get his side of the story. But in the middle of the interview attempt, he simply walked away to return to ARC Raiders.

Not much more has been said about the incident at this time, but the man has been charged with molestation. It is likely that all details of the incident will remain hush-hush until the court date. Given that the victim of the incident claimed the player was addicted, and he then reinforced that perception by ignoring the police to return to playing ARC Raidersit might not turn out well for him.
This isn't the first time the police have been called while someone has been gaming, with some of the most infamous cases involving streamers being shot. But it's not the first time either ARC Raiders players have had the police called, and thankfully that case wasn't domestic violence or a prank call. A player staying at a motel found the police at their door because a neighbor had heard them screaming that they had been shot. They apparently called the police out of concern for their well-being, not knowing that the only shots fired were in the video game.
In another case, an elderly player chose to completely ignore the police when they were called to do a welfare check. A check-in program a 91-year-old had signed up for didn't hear from the woman, leading them to believe she was injured or otherwise incapacitated. The police arrived and got no answer at the door, further adding to the concern, but it turned out the woman was fine. She had simply ignored the phone and the knock on the door because she was having too much fun playing video games.
