The best regional mascots in Forza Horizon 6

There's so much to see and do in Forza Horizon 6, as you can explore almost every inch of Japan, visiting densely packed urban areas and more sombre, peaceful villages with stunning views of the island nation's raw natural beauty. And, with a banging soundtrack to go with it, how can you not help but lose yourself in the size and scope of it all?

And, in addition to each densely packed and gorgeous zone, there will be mascots for you to track down and destroy, encouraging you to explore every inch of the game's massive map. But not all mascots are created equal: some are much more adorable than others, while others just have interesting shapes, making them satisfying to look at and destroy. While we love all of these cute and personable mascots, only one might be the best of the best!

Omurice

A closer look at the Omurice Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

For starters, we have the lovable Omurice mascot from the Sotoyama region, showcasing the rich, deep yellow omelette filled with rice we all know and love, topped with a healthy dollop of ketchup. Look, we also think this mascot is incredibly adorable, with its little arms and shiny eyes, but its colors are a bit boring and its shape is pretty basic.

That aside, we love this little guy quite a bit, and just love how happy he looks that it almost makes us feel bad every time we destroy him. But hey, XP is XP, and nothing is going to stop us from tracking down and destroying every single one of them!

Onigiri

A closer look at the Onigiri Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

Next up is the Onigiri Mascot from the Ito region, featuring a large ball of rice with a strip of seaweed at the bottom. Again, like the last post, this thing is undeniably adorable, with one of the happiest expressions we've ever seen, big eyes, and little arms to tie things together. How can you not like this mascot?

However, similar to the previous one, its shape is quite basic, but it has a cool rice pattern and texture, which makes it stand out a bit more. Overall, while we really like this mascot quite a bit, we can't rank it higher, because there are some that knock it all out of the park!

Match tea

From there we move on to the Matcha Tea Mascot, which you can find in the Takashiro region. This large and stylish tea cup has a lovely leaf design on the sides and is filled with the wonderfully distinctive green Matcha Tea. Like the others, its expression is downright adorable, although it does look a little worried for its life, which makes you really wonder about yourself as you grind it to pieces.

While we really appreciate everything this mascot does, we wish it had an even more elegant design on it, or was based on an antique tea set, because they can look extremely cool and beautiful. Nevertheless, this Matcha Tea Mascot is excellent; we like the others a bit more overall. Which is saying something, because this was one of our favorites the first time we saw it!

Edamame

After that, we have the Edamame Mascot from the Minamino region, who shows off three unripe soybeans in a pod, with carefree facial expressions. They are so cute, and their shape makes them stand out from the rest, as they take up a lot of horizontal space thanks to the elongated pod they rest on.

Sure, just one color affects it somewhat, but we refuse to place it lower, because they are the most valuable things you can come across in this game. Just look at them, they're having the time of their lives in there. It's just unfortunate that we have to brutally run over them!

5

The frame

Ramen Mascot from the beautiful Ohtani region kicks off our top five. We can't get enough of this one as it just looks warm and cozy with the warm broth, noodles, meat and egg inside. This mascot not only looks content, it also looks absolutely delicious.

Anyway, how can this mascot not be in the top five? Just look at it. The colors are also nice for the region it is located in, and the detail on the contents of the bowl is amazing. This is one of the best deals in Forza Horizon 6, and it's not up for debate!

4

Tempura

A closer look at the Tempura Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

Tempura Mascot, found in the Nangan region, is our next pick, chosen solely for its unique design and adorable expression. This lightly battered and fried shrimp is somehow one of the cutest things we've ever seen, its deep golden orange coating contrasting well with its bright red tail. Not only that, but its kissable face puts it over the edge for us, because it's priceless.

Overall, we could see this and the Ramen Mascot being swapped around, as both are very solid in their own ways, but this one has a bit of an edge. The combination of the colors, the shape and the adorable expression was more than enough to warm our hearts!

3

Dango

A closer look at the Dango Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

Our next pick is the Dango Mascot from the iconic, densely packed Tokyo region, featuring three rice-based dumplings stacked on top of each other on a stick, with nothing but happy expressions on his face. The pink, white and green colors make it stand out against urban and industrial environments, and their adorable little feet make them even cuter than they have any right to be.

You're bound to feel bad after throwing these innocent dumplings across the pavement, but we guess you gotta do what you gotta do. In the end, the Dango Mascot is easily in the top three, as it always brings a smile when we come across it while exploring the busy streets of Tokyo!

2

Kakigori

A closer look at the Kakigori Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

The Hokubu region's Kakigōri Mascot is next, which is essentially a shaved dessert often topped with syrup or other ingredients, making it a wonderful summertime snack. The bright blue cup the ice is in, and the splash of sparkling green syrup on top of its head makes it pop and stand out, but nothing compares to the pure joy and excitement on its face as its little arms rest on the sides of the cup.

Have you ever seen anything happier in your life? Look at this Kakigōri's eyes and tell me they aren't the cutest thing you've ever seen. Of any of the mascots in Forza Horizon 6, it hurts us to spoil this one the most, as we'd rather it enjoy its best life in the stunning environments instead. There is no doubt in our minds that this little bundle of joy deserves the second to last spot!

Curry rice

A closer look at the Curry Rice Mascot in Forza Horizon 6.

Finally, we have the Curry Rice Mascot from the Shimanoyama region, who is the only mascot in Forza Horizon 6 with what we would call a depressed and annoyed expression. And yet, it still manages to look cute, largely because the rice part of the dish doubles as its beard, while the plate gives it little arms and legs, making it even more adorable.

Not only that, but the ingredients shape the eyebrows while adding splashes of red, yellow, and orange that contrast well with the primary brown and white color scheme. We adore this mascot's creativity the most, making it the best of the best in the game!
