6 Strongest Characters Who Rival Black Frieza, Ranked

The Z-Fighters have never been more outclassed than when Black Frieza crash-landed at the end of Granolah the Survivor Saga and became the strongest mortal in Dragon Ball. In seconds, Black Frieza kills Awakened Gas and knocks out True Ultra Instinct Goku & Ultra Ego Vegeta with one hit. Realistically, Black Frieza is now strong enough to fight and kill some of the series' most powerful gods.

When Dragon Ball Super manga finally comes out of hiatus, the main characters have no choice but to face Black Frieza. Luckily, Goku and Vegeta have been training non-stop, while the rest of the Dragon Ball Supers mightiest warriors are the strongest they've ever been after unlocking new forms. Black Frieza is the strongest villain in Dragon Ball franchise, and only the series' most powerful characters can compete with him, let alone beat him one day.

Orange Piccolo is the strongest he's ever been

This isn't Piccolo's first time competing with Frieza, but it might be the last. Back on Namek, Piccolo became stronger than Second Form Frieza when he fused with Nail. Now decades later, Orange Piccolo has the power to rival Frieza again. Toyotarou has confirmed that Orange Piccolo is at the same power level as Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, Gohan Beast, Ultra Ego Vegeta and Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku.

It's unlikely that Piccolo will actually put Black Frieza down for good just based on how much Dragon Ball Super prioritizes the saiyans, but he was technically the main character of Superheronot Gohan. Once the Black Frieza Saga begins, Orange Piccolo has more than enough power to give Black Frieza a good fight. Just don't be surprised if his role involves working for the other Saiyans. Even then, working against Black Frieza is a greater feat than even the most overpowered anime characters can pull off.

Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku could go 3 for 3 against Frieza

Goku can be Dragon Balls main character, but he hasn't been top dog for a long time. However, that doesn't mean he's stopped training or given up on his dream of growing stronger. After Black Frieza defeated him on Planet Cereal, Goku devoted himself to further refining his body by training with Whis. Vegeta may have beaten him by the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Herobut Goku's mastery of Perfected Ultra Instinct is now on a whole other level.

IN Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103, Gohan Beast knocks out Goku from Perfected Ultra Instinct. This is a loss for Goku, but he can instantly trigger Perfected Ultra Instinct seconds later, just like any other transformation. This proves how much Goku's control over the form has grown. Goku can also stack Super Saiyan forms on top of UI now for a bigger power boost. The next time they fight, Goku won't be caught off guard and Black Frieza will have to put in some serious work to take down his biggest rival for good.

Ultra Ego Vegeta is much stronger than anyone realizes

Vegeta has the deepest connection with Frieza and arguably deserves to beat Black Frieza once and for all more than anyone else in the main cast. From Dragon Ball Super: Super Heromaybe he finally has the power to do it. Although Vegeta's potential is not as high as Broly or Gohan's, he makes up for it by being a prodigy born of hard work. Vegeta is always training, and Dragon Ball Super has finally rewarded his persistence.

After unlocking Ultra Ego in Granolah the Survivor Saga, Vegeta has a form that can finally rival Ultra Instinct. With less training than Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta is already on par with Goku's mastered Ultra Instinct. Vegeta also beat Goku in a fair and square fight at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroso his base form is actually stronger than Goku's. Mastered Ultra Ego could be Vegeta's key fighting even with Frieza after he humiliated him at Cereal.

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is Frieza's worst nightmare

Long gone are the days when Gohan was the Saiyan with the most potential Dragon Ball – that title now belongs to none other than Broly. Broly was born with a power level of 10,000, was stronger than two Saiyans using god forms in their base form, and required Goku and Vegeta to fuse into Gogeta just to fight him. Even then, Gogeta had to use Super Saiyan Blue to win. At full power, Broly is instantly unstoppable. As with Ultra Ego, Broly's legendary Super Saiyan transformation makes him stronger the longer he fights.

The downside is that he can't control himself at all when using the form. Broly is currently training with Goku and Vegeta on Beerus' Planet to master his form, and had a major breakthrough sparring with Gohan Beast. Once Broly masters his full power, he will become what Frieza feared for years. Broly has already beaten Golden Frieza once Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Who says he can't do it again against Black Frieza?

Gohan Beast is the most powerful Z fighter right now

After spending years scraping the bottom of the Saiyan barrel, Gohan soared to the top of the totem pole when he unlocked his Beast form at the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. According to Orange Piccolo, Gohan Beast was the only character strong enough to defeat Cell Max. The Dragon Ball Super manga makes Gohan even more powerful by giving him some crazy feats. IN Dragon Ball Super Chapter 103, Gohan Beast manages to knock Goku out of Perfected Ultra Instinct.

Gohan later effortlessly battles legendary Super Saiyan Broly, something neither Goku nor Vegeta could do. Gohan Beast also inspires a multi-Saiyan battle between Ultra Instinct Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Evolved Vegeta, LSSJ Broly, SSJ Goten, and SSJ Trunks in a battle royale that he is implied to have won. Gohan Beast is currently the Z-Fighter with the highest power level, making him the biggest threat to Black Frieza.

Beerus has never been beaten in a straight up fight

Black Frieza is finally strong enough to compete with Beerus, but that power level goes both ways. The most powerful god of destruction in the multiverse, Beerus has never lost a fight (although Quitela once beat him in an arm wrestling match). In it Dragon Ball Super manga, all the Gods of Destruction fight in a battle royale, and while it is being cut, it is implied that Beerus would have won.

Beerus also holds the distinction of being the only God of Destruction who can use Ultra Instinct, making him one of the few characters in the series who can use both angelic and destructive techniques. Just based on how quickly he defeated Goku and Vegeta, Black Frieza would give Beerus one hell of a fight – enough to maybe make him use his full power.
