Ubisoft France has claimed that Rayman Legends Retold's brutal limited launch edition will only be sold for a single day and in very “limited quantities”.
It's been a while since Rayman fans had a lot to get excited about, but 2026 looks set to be a milestone year for everyone's favorite limbless hero. Not only did we get the 30th Anniversary Edition of the game that started it all, but we're also treated to a full-fledged remake of one of Rayman's best adventures that will hopefully kick-start a new era for the series.
In addition to just being really nice to see Rayman back in the spotlight, it's also been refreshing to see how much care and attention Ubisoft has put into his return. A good example of this is the lovely physical launch edition of Legends Retold, which will apparently be quite hard to come by when the game is released.

Taking Launch Edition very literally there
As pointed out by Twitter user RaymanForSmash and originally reported by Nintendoros, Ubisoft France recently shared a sneak peek at Rayman Legends Retold's launch edition. For those who don't know, the launch edition comes with a unique box, a Glade of Dreams map, three lithographs, and an exclusive Hoodlum Havoc skin pack.
Alongside the unboxing video, Ubisoft France confirmed in a follow-up tweet that the launch edition of Rayman Legends Retold will take its name very literally by only being in stores “for one day” and in “limited quantities”. It's worth noting that this is specifically in reference to the launch edition, as the base version of the game will be sold like any other title.
Still, it sounds like the best version of Rayman Legends Retold might end up being a bit hard to find when the game launches, especially in actual game stores. At the time of writing, it still seems to be in stock pretty much everywhere, but there's no telling how long that will last, especially when people realize that this might be the last Rayman game released on disc.
