Any gacha worth its salt must start with a strong lineup of characters available from the standard banner as potential moves regardless of which banner is running next to it, and Neverness to Everness did well to put Daffodil on this banner, as she is a critical teammate to have.
If you're trying to add Scorch, then Daffodil is the only one at the game's launch that can use the Chaos element in battle, making her a highly sought after character from Scarborough Fair. If you've drawn Daffodil in NTE, here's how to best build her up.

Neverness To Everness: Best Edgar build and team
Edgar may be small, but his healing ability will be immeasurable for any of your strongest team compositions in Neverness to Everness.
As the only one CHAOS character in the game at the time of launch, Daffodil has become a highly sought after pull since the NTE launched. She is capable of cause unique elemental reactions with her chaos powers, with several of them even offering her a combat boost to unleash them when she does so with her best bows equipped. With some really impressive ones breaking skills against her enemies using Liquid bows in battle, Daffodil is excellent at break down the enemy's defenses that shields to make the party hit harder, faster.
Any team that runs on elemental reactions to harm instead of raw strength will benefit well from adding Daffodil to the team, or whoever is pitted against a well-defended enemy team would do well to consider adding Daffodil to the frontline for their best teammates in NTE.

Best team for Daffodil
Although Daffodil will work well with many different teams in Neverness to Everness, it is generally considered that her best teammate is Baicanganother great S-Tier character that together helps trigger Burning reaction between chaos and spell damage. It's one of the more potent elemental reactions in the game, so it's always a good idea to keep these two paired up whenever possible, especially given how well they'll cycle in and out with each other as well.
Even if you're trying to stick to F2P characters, you might still want to select Baicang from the S-Tier charter selector to get the most out of playing with Daffodil, as the two sync almost seamlessly together on the battlefield. Some characters just play well with each other in a fight! Whichever you don't naturally draw, choose the other character to partner with.
While we're on spell damage we have it Adler in both daffodils team comps in our guide as he can provide multiple boosts that daffodils teams can have plenty of on the battlefield. He is more than capable of giving shields and supports for the team, except for a fairly standard one damage over time capacity as an Incantation user who can also help trigger Scorch reactions.
Rounding out the team should depend on the characters you have access to, with Jiuyuan an excellent choice to help with appendages Hexad as an Anima user, or Sakiri in her place to trigger instead Disharmony reactions.
If you're trying to stick with one free to play team, but then we would still recommend bringing along Adler with for the same reasons. Haniel is also a good choice, triggers Colored reaction as a Psyche character. You can round out the team with Aurelia to keep up with elemental damage and reactions.

- The Assembly of Creation prevents enemies from removing Insight, which she will use quite a bit in battle.
- Eye is good because you will often use it when other characters have already used Support Skills.
- Perfect truth gives extra Insight when Daffodil Breaks them, which she often does as a Break-focused sub-DPS character.
- Mechanical March gives you more chances to use Phantom Step.
- In Concealment takes advantage of Insight having more power when you unlock Daffodil's Awakenings, giving even more Break damage.
- Flower in the lake is a nice way to round things out with your A6 Daffodil, giving her general ignorance of certain enemy defenses.
