It's been a while since we last had a high-budget PlayStation exclusive title. By our count, it was Ghost of Yotei last October. However, that should change relatively soon, as Saros, the sequel to Returnal from Housemarque, will be released on April 30.
That should pave the way for what should be an exciting 2026 for PlayStation fans, with Marvel's Wolverine, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Phantom Blade Zero all releasing within the year.
No one knows the PlayStation Touchpad better than Sucker Punch
Not since Infamous Second Son has a PlayStation controller felt this fun to use.
For now, we're turning our attention to Saros, as its trophy list has been shared online, and one of the biggest things to point out is the massive Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reference in the middle.
As compiled on Reddit and Insider Gaming, there are a whopping 45 trophies for players to collect when the game launches, a step up from Returnal and its list of 38. Right now, we only have trophy names and numbers, but no word on which ones are bronze, silver, or gold. That should change in the next few days as the listings go live.
As for the roster as a whole, most things are pretty much par for the course when it comes to trophy hunting, like completing each act, defeating bosses, or using certain weapons or abilities.
One that stood out though is called “Carcosan Cartographe”, and it's awarded for “Completing 33 expeditions via the World Dial”.
Jeez, we wonder where they got that reference from. It's certainly not referring to last year's Game of the Year award winner. Still, it would be interesting to find out where that inspiration comes from.
There are some other neat references on the list
While the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reference might be the most notable on the list, the rest of Saros has some pretty interesting easter eggs worth pointing out.
For example, “Bullet Paradise” is awarded for killing 1,995 regular enemies. Housemarque was founded in 1995, so it's a pretty easy reference. Then “Break The Cycle”, which is awarded after absorbing 2,021 projectiles with the shield, is a direct reference to Housemarque's last major title, Returnal, which was released in 2021. It is also a reference to the year Sony acquired Housemarque.
On a final note, it looks like Saros will have eight bosses, so it will definitely be a meatier game than Returnal.
