The Elder Scrolls 6 is still nowhere in sight, and fans of Bethesda's beloved fantasy series have been using the developer's latest game, Starfieldto try to predict what Hammerfell might look like. This summer it will be eight years ago The Elder Scrolls 6 was first announced, and the game has been shrouded in mystery ever since.
Over the past eight years, Bethesda has released Starfieldand Amazon has turned Fall-out into an incredibly successful live-action TV series. Starfield was already launched in 2023, and although the project was ambitious, it has struggled to keep the same magic as The Elder Scrolls and Fall-out has managed. Many players are desperate for The Elder Scrolls 6 news, but Bethesda has remained incredibly tight-lipped about how far along the project actually is. The game's setting hasn't even been confirmed, but that hasn't stopped fans from theorizing that Hammerfell will be the next chapter's main location.
Reddit user sirferrell went to The Elder Scrolls 6 subreddit to share some Starfield screenshots that they think might resemble what Hammerfell might look like. In-game images of steep mountains covered in red sand, waterways lined with palm trees, and dry deserts make up the slideshow. This makes sense, given that Hammerfell has a mix of desert regions and tropical locations. It has a very Mediterranean feel, and it can make for a really versatile one Elder rolls 6 map.
Using Starfield as a way to get an idea of what Hammerfell might look like makes sense. Starfield was built with Bethesda's Creation Engine 2, and with The Elder Scrolls 6 with the help of Creation Engine 3, the space adventure will be more similar graphically than the likes of Skyrim or Fallout 4. This slideshow has created mixed feelings from some other fans. Many in the comments have voiced their opinions as they hope The Elder Scrolls 6 looks much better than Starfieldwhile others have noted that the sci-fi RPG is the best-looking game Bethesda has made to date. Creation Engine 2 was a big step forward for the developer, so it will be interesting to see how much further Creation Engine 3 takes its picture.
Despite the theories, it's also important to remember that Bethesda hasn't confirmed it The Elder Scrolls 6 will take place in Hammerfell. The next chapter may end up surprising everyone, so only time will tell about these Starfield screenshots are an accurate representation of The Elder Scrolls 6s place.
