Along with giant titles like Grand Theft Auto 6, Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First lightand Saros2026 will also welcome a host of highly anticipated indie games such as Mouse PI for rent, Densh attackand Reborn animal. And if 2025 was any indication, 2026 will be another good year for Epic Games Store freebies.
Epic Games Store users were able to claim a total of three games last week, two of which tapped into some of the most popular genres in gaming right now. After the big selection, the Epic Games Store is only offering one free game on November 20th, though that should serve as a short and sweet teaser ahead of a much-anticipated release in early 2026.

Released in early access in 2017 and then received a full 1.0 release in 2019, Kill the Sprout is widely considered to be one of the best roguelike deck builders ever made. IN Kill the Sproutplayers become one of four distinct characters who must climb a spire packed to the brim with hostile creatures. Combat sees players engage in turn-based battles using an array of cards they've accumulated during the run. Fixed Kill the Sprout has a relatively straightforward premise, there is a great deal of complexity behind its gameplay loop that only shines brighter the further players progress.
Back in April 2024, Kill the Sprout Developer Mega Crit announced that a sequel was officially in development and would be released into early access in 2025. Back in September, Slay the Spire 2 was delayed to March 2026. Not much is known about the long-awaited sequel, although two new playable characters have been confirmed to appear.
Fans have already been waiting for six years Kill the Sprout sequels, and while they still have a few months to go, the Epic Games Store's free games for November 20th could offer a fun stop. Originally released in April 2023, Zoeti is a turn-based roguelike deck builder that sees players use cards to eliminate enemies in battle, just like Kill the Sprout. Along with its similar combat system, Zoeti also shares a similar level structure as Kill the Sproutwith players choosing their route on a map of branching paths, strategizing when to engage in combat, when to avoid it, and when to upgrade their deck. Zoeti Also offers three distinct characters, each of which comes with their own unique abilities.
But while Zoetis general gameplay serves as the perfect introduction to Kill the scepters loop, or as a way to scratch that rogue deck builder itch before Slay the Spire 2s early launch in March 2026, the free-to-play Epic Games Store game on November 20 has some unique tricks up its sleeve. By far its most novel twist is the use of regular playing cards during its combat. While Kill the scepter have cards with special abilities, attacks and defenses, Zoetis battle has players choosing poker hands to activate their abilities and defeat enemies, inject some of Balatros magic into the game loop as well.
