Patapon 1+2 Replay Is now out on PC and select consoles, including Nintendo Switch. This edition marks the franchise debut on platforms that are not players.
Developed by Tokyo-based pyramid and produced by Sony's now closed Japan studio, the original Patapon Launched as a Playstation Portable Exclusive 2007. It met largely favorable reviews, driven by its unique gameplay loop combination strategy with classic rhythm game elements. Its sequel and Threequel were released in 2008 and 2011, also as PSP exclusive. At the end of March 2025 Nintendo Direct, a remastered collection of the first two entries called Patapon 1+2 Replay was announced. While IP is owned by Sony, the Remasters were revealed by Bandai Namco, with the Japanese studio SAS Co. confirmed as a leading developer on the project.

Nintendo Switch 2 is still flying from the store shelves, but those who play Nintendo's first hybrid handset still have a lot to look forward to.
Three and a half months later, Patapon 1+2 Replay Is now available to buy, after launching for PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC on July 11. Patapon Remaster is priced at $ 29.99 on each platform. The two PSP classics take between 30 and 70 hours to complete combined, depending on their play style. This edition is technically the second Patapon Remaster Project, after a separate version of the original game released for PS4 2017.

While the 2025 removals aim to deliver an authentic Patapon Experience, they also introduced some news and improvements in quality of life. Difficulty settings are now part of the package and offer players a choice between simple, normal and hard presets. Some extra UI alternatives have also been introduced, where the remasants also offer adjustable button presses of buttons. Provided this edition sells well enough, a remaster of Patapon 3 Can also be on the table in the foreseeable future. Several Playstation IPS went several platforms in 2025
Patapon is the second classic Playstation IP that goes multi-platform via a Remaster 2025. The first was Freedom WarWhose modernized version debuted in early January and was also published by Bandai Namco.
The Japanese gaming giant prepares to bring at least one classic Playstation IP to several platforms soon, after recently notified Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots For the switch, PS5 and PC. The latest post in the Arcade Golf series does not yet have a fixed release date, although Bandai Namco has confirmed that it is aimed at a launch in 2025. With the year more than halfway and no delays are announced it is likely that it is likely Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots Looking at a holiday release.
