In some anime series, it is inevitable that fans will always have a first impression of a character when they debut. But every now and then there will be some characters that for some reason will go completely against fan perceptions about who they are and what they can achieve, and this has happened many times throughout My hero AcademyS story.

This has even resulted in some fairly large plot twists and shows a whole new side of the character that no one could have expected. Gentle / la brava

The evil villain duo turned out to be more than just one -time antagonists

When Gentle and La Brava show up during the school's summer festival, it feels like they are simply disposable antagonists who would just appear in that special arch. After all, they do not pose exactly as much threat as everyone for one and shigaraki. Instead, they were much more optimistic and bubbling, which was entered into the happy tone of this part of the story.

But the once dangerous duo makes a surprise and comes back in the last war to help the heroes ward off shigaraki. With La Brava who used his hacking skills to strike back at skeptical and gentle rescue countless lives with their elasticity limit, the two heroes ended at the end of the day, even though they seemed to a large extent insignificant when debuting.

The pursuit

Horikoshi spent a lot of time exploring the pursuit and growth

It is revealed quite early in the story of Todoroki that the pursuit has been a pretty horrible father for his family. As someone who was obsessed with the fact that all Might would be aimed at a quirk marriage in the hope of producing offspring that would be more than capable of exceeding his rival, although this ultimately led to him becoming more frustrated and eventually abusing against his own children. Of course, it seemed quite clear that this guy would be disgusting for the entire series. At least, that was what many fans were led to initially faith.

The endeavor as a character is explored in great depth throughout history, and when he eventually reaches the number a pro hero position he begins to question how (or if) he can compensate for his previous sins. This would have seemed impossible in the early arches, but in the end many fans actually came to see the quest in a different light. Although his past cannot be apologized, it was definitely a surprise to see him become so regretted by his actions.

Kurrogiri

Shigaraki's scary Butler is revealed to be much more human than some may have believed

Although it was clear that Kurogiri was a little different from the other nomu that pops up in the series, mainly because of his appearance, it was easy to assume that he was simply one of the hundreds of dangerous mutants that had been developed for the League of Villains. He would therefore blend into the background at any time the league appeared on the screen, but it has eventually revealed that he is actually much more important than many would have expected.

It turns out that Kurogiri is actually Oboro, a childhood friend to Aizawa that was transformed into a loyal servant for Shigaraki after his body was crushed in a tragic accident. He would even continue to play a fairly massive role in the last war, where his scarf allowed the heroes to perform his attack strategy to take down everything for one and shigaraki.

Minoru Mineta

It turns out that Mineta is not a complete cowardice after all

Minetta is often considered to be the most disliked character in all My hero AcademyAnd it is mainly because he has so many negative qualities that make him difficult to love. An example of this was his cowardice. In history, there are several cases where he would decide to hide at any time when a villain showed up, so it is understandable why spectators would see him as rather useless in battle and unwilling to stand up for his friends.

Although Mineta still retains its perverse nature and annoying person for the entire series, he is at least becoming a little more safe, even though this seems to be an impossibility for many arches ago. Not only would he go with his fellow students when he stood up to Deku after he became a villain, but even meadow prayed all for one to take his property instead of Tokoyami, which is really not a small performance given how powerful this villain was during the last war.

However, as the series continues, it becomes clear that the fans' first impression of this snappy hero was actually completely wrong; Under the surface, hawks are actually someone who is willing to put their own reputation on the line to maintain a peaceful society. For example, he would voluntarily go undercover to cozy with the villains, just so that he could extract crucial information for the heroes to use, which proves how loyal he is for the cause, although he may not seem like it at first.

Yuga Aoyama

Given that most students in Class 1-A are very strange and Outlandic, it means that Aoyama never worked in his place and felt that he was just another teenager who simply wanted to become a hero. Sure, he may have acted a little strange every now and then, for example when he looked into Deku's bedroom while he slept, but many fans assumed that he was simply a little awkward and just needed to be a little more safe.

The truth, however, was that Aoyama had actually been a mole who worked for everyone for one, and he was commissioned to forward the students' places to the evil Mastermind so he could keep track of them. Of course, Aoyama completely betrayed the fans' confidence when he revealed who he really was and even how he came to acquire his badger in the first place.

The conclusion to Deku's personal story crushed many theories and expectations

Given that Deku is the main character in the series, in the classic Shonen -Anime mode, it seemed likely that he would end the story as Japan's best hero. However, this is not exactly what ends when the last war is over and done. To defeat Shigaraki once and for all, Deku is forced to give up their property by melting the last remains of it in Shigaraki's body and tearing him off the inside and out.

Deku therefore, the story does not end as the next all power, but as a teacher without a seizure and prepares the next generation of children for the dangers they will meet when they grow up and become heroes themselves. Deku sometimes seems a little predictable when it comes to his growth, but the conclusion to his story is definitely one that no one saw coming, which proves that many people were wrong in their predictions.
