8 locked steam performance that I know I will never get

I am a bit of an performance dog when it comes to my steam account, but my tendency to jump from game to game means that the number of titles with the shiny blue band next to them is actually quite small. Instead, I try to focus on rare achievements that have not been unlocked by many players.

Of course, in many cases, these unlock percentages are low for a reason. Some steam performance is purely difficult to get, and some are literally impossible. I have made peace with the fact that I will never unlock them all, but a few will haunt me forever.

Stands like a stone wall / pickett's charge

Civilization 5

Civ 5 had some Banger scenarios in addition to the main game, and theoretically I could go back and unlock these progress from the American Civil War Scenario in an afternoon. It would require to play as a confederation, but a red line I will not cross in any historical game for any reason.

I have already received the Union performance and I am happy with it. Even just playing like Dixie, don't care about winning key battles and ultimately the war for the wrong side of history, is not worth a couple of digital medals.

To get over it with Bennett Foddy

Each so often I install again Get over itThe The notorious rock climbing game that has probably caused the furious induced destruction of more than a few screens on their day. It is supposed to be a lesson in picking yourself up after failure and continuing until you succeed, and … yes, I really got the failure.

I have never reached the top of getting across the mountain until once, don't think about fifty times required for its final performance. For what it is worth, I have also not cheated and looked up the secret video that plays when you do it. One day I may earn it, but once is enough.

Bioshock remastered

I was late at the party with Bioshock. I did not play the original game until about ten years after it came out, mostly to see what all the essence was about. It was a fun, but at that time dated, Sagittarius, and I was happy to have played it once.

The original Steam version of the game did not include performance. Remaster, who was done free, did. I have it in my account, but I'm not interested in playing through the game again, so even though I have beaten Bioshock I have no performance for it.

Paradox's strategy games are known to have some absurd achievements, many of which require entire campaigns that focus only on unlocking one. Stellaris“Galatron performances are notorious to rely strongly on RNG, and I just don't have the patience.

If you want to take a break from controlling a space empire you can spending the Treasury responsible by playing. The big price, with a half percent chance of showing up, is a powerful relic called Galatron. Getting Galatron is an achievement yourself, but Raiders of the lost galaton requires extra steps.

For this performance you must Explain war against someone who already has Galatron and take it from them. This means that you have to be in a game where someone else hits the jackpot, or if you have to win Galatron, lose it and then take it back.

Expired

The quarry

The quarry Is a scary good time, and I have done several playthroughs. Like many super -massive titles, the story can branch based on small details, so little differences can make a big impact.

There are several achievements that I do not have, but a particular – Expired – Am annoying because I don't know how I missed it. It is given to find All 22 tarot cards in the game, and I have 21. I don't know how I missed one, or even whom it is – and I wrote the guide for Pete's sake.

DLC performance

Attacks

Attacks Isn't it the kind of game I played normally, but I wrote guides for it for Thegamer and ended up beating one hundred percent in Atomic Adventure as a result. Adding another completed game in my profile was a nice cherry on top, though Then came DLC.

The evil Isle expansion adds another 9 performance to the game, which removed my completed status. In situations like this, you have to decide if you are really done with the game or if it is time to reinstall it, and for me it is the last time this time.

Contracts performance

Hitman: Absolute

I bought Hitman: Absolute In a steam sales sometime by ages and ages ago and finally I got to play it in 2020. I had an explosion with it and unlocked all campaign performance.

However, the game's contract system, which included user -generated assignments, challenges and leaderboards, had been taken offline, which made the remaining performance impossible. Although many of the other achievements on this list are a matter of will, this is a game where no effort would pay off.

The three mountains

Europe Universalis 4

Here, Paradox is again, at the top of the list of possibly their most notorious performance of all time. As 99.1% of people who have ever played Europe Universalis 4I don't have the three mountains, and I'm not skilled enough to get it despite over 700 hours of play time.

To conquer the whole world in EU4 is seen as the top of skill. It requires an in -depth knowledge of the game's mechanics and how to best use them, plus a little luck. The three mountains require you to do so as Ryukyu, a small island nation in what is now Okinawa, in the shadow of titans such as China, Japan and the threatening threat of European colonizers.

You also have to play with Ironman mode enabled, so you can't afford any mistakes.

Even when I was at my best in EU4, played daily, I was nowhere close enough to get this performance, and there is even some debate if it is even possible without exploits, after More than a decade of patches and updates. You win this time, paradox.
