IO Interactive revealed how PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution on PS5 Pro further improves 007 First light experience for players when it launches later this month. As the launch date of 007 First light continues to approach, IO Interactive continues to release new details about the title, trying to make it too enticing for players to miss. For those with a PS5 Pro, they'll even see a number of major visual benefits as well.
Based on previous trailers and gameplay segments, 007 First light is already shaping up to be an impressive experience. Earlier this month, IO Interactive took things a step further by confirming all the improvements that 007 First light will look at the PS5 Pro console. Despite initial concerns about the game's performance after a showcase in September 2025, IOI confirmed that it will run at a very smooth 60 frames per second and even released a short gameplay clip to prove it. Even the base model of the PS5 will have a graphics option for performance or quality, with the former getting 60fps, while the latter will look slightly better but only run at 30fps instead. However, the optimal PlayStation experience will undoubtedly be found on the Pro console.

Using PSSR, 007 First light provides a boost to image quality, including denser foliage and more detail during cinematic moments. In addition, there is less flickering, a reduced shimmering effect and a more stable image during chaotic moments. Players will also likely notice that hair, cloth, and other character details will look sharper thanks to being reconstructed by PSSR with greater clarity. Roskell even admitted that from a development standpoint, it didn't take much work to get a nice result, as IO's engineers got the technology up and running very quickly.
One of the major problems for the players was the performance level of 007 First lightwhich didn't hold up as well as fans hoped during the State of Play event in September 2025. Alongside other criticisms, from the choice to focus on a car chase, to gameplay that seemed reminiscent of IO's other major franchises, Hitman. But over the past few months, the studio has seemingly eased those fears through new trailers and reveals, helping to raise anticipation levels even higher for many.
