Xbox Game Pass will lose at least five games on May 15, with the upcoming layoffs included Galactica. The recently confirmed catalog update will bring the total number of 2026 Xbox Game Pass departures to 44.
Microsoft's subscription service last lost games on April 30. That day marked the biggest Xbox Game Pass exodus in over a year, with nine titles leaving at once. While Microsoft has yet to officially announce the next wave of departures, a recent catalog update added five new titles to the service's “Leaving Soon” section found on the Xbox Store.

A rare quadruple release day for Xbox Game Pass means the service will add four Day One titles to its content catalog to end April 2026.

The departures on May 15 include Galactica, Go Mecha Ball, The souls of Kulebra and Limbo, PAW Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championshipand Lana's planet. Brightrock Games' sci-fi hospital sim Galactica is the most critically acclaimed of the bunch, with an average score of 83 and an 88% recommendation rating on OpenCritic. Galactica originally joined Xbox Game Pass in May 2024 as a day-one title and will now leave the service a week before its second anniversary. Its run overlapped with Microsoft's launch of Xbox Game Pass Standard, now Premium, in September 2024. The then-new tier did not include Galactica at launch, but added it in March 2025.

Family friendly racing game PAW Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship only joined Xbox Game Pass on February 5, 2026, meaning it will now be leaving after just three months and 10 days. Although well below the platform average, such a short time is not unheard of for games developed by 3DClouds. PAW Patrol World previously joined Xbox Game Pass in September 2025, then left in January 2026. The main difference is that this was PAW Patrol Worlds second stop on the service, while PAW Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship currently finishing his first.
As this list of departures comes from the Xbox app rather than a formal announcement, it may be incomplete. Historically, the app's “Leaving Soon” section has been relatively, but not perfectly, accurate. Microsoft sometimes announces additional departures alongside the accompanying wave of new releases.
