Xbox Game Pass have added Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game to its library. This is the ninth new title to reach Microsoft's subscription service in April 2025, as well as the 39th new Xbox Game Pass edition since this year's turn.

Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game is an open-world action adventure developed by Philadelphia-based PHL collective. It was originally announced during August 27 Nintendo Direct before being released for PC and consoles in early October 2024.

A half year later, Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game Went to the Xbox Game Pass and reached the subscription service on Wednesday, April 16. Because it's not a day-one title, Patrick Star game is available over each Xbox Game Pass level except Core. In terms of critical tribute this is not exactly the most known Mushroombo Squarepants Games ever made, which is underlined by its 64 average ratings on OpenCritic. However, player reviews are generally much stronger, with the game with “very positive” feedback from Steam users and a 4.4-star rating in the Xbox store.

How long will Spongebob Squarepants: TPSG stay on Xbox Game Pass?

Spongebob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game is the third PHL collective-developed title offered Microsoft's subscribers. The last one, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Acewas only part of the service for one year and left in September 2023. On the other hand, Ben 10: Power Trip reached the Xbox Game Pass all the way back in December 2021 and is still part of the platform's content catalog. Based on this track record, Spongebob Squarepants: TPSG Seems likely to stay for at least one year.

Next Xbox Game Pass Catalog update is scheduled for April 17, when the service adds two new titles: Tempopo and Crime Suppeters. The latter has a fairly self -explanatory name, while the former is a psychedelic platform player with puzzle and creature collection. This will do April in the first month with a net gain for the XGP library since January, which also saw Microsoft adding another game than it took away (13 against 12).
