As it stands, fans don't know much about what power Loki possesses, but they would absolutely love to know more about his incredible abilities. Considering that Loki has now been confirmed to be a strong Devil Fruit user, fans are eager to know what kind of ability he has. Of course, Mythical Zoan is the most likely answer, but it would both be good for him to have a Logia ability instead.

The legendary power of Loki's Devil Fruit

  • Loki murdered his own father
  • Loki ate a legendary fruit

One of the biggest reasons why Loki should have a Logia Devil Fruit ability is for his fruit to be pretty special. Until now, fans have seen special Devil Fruits in the Paramecia class, such as Whitebeard's fruit, and of course, many believed that Luffy's very own was a Paramecia until recently as well. There is a plethora of Paramecia Devil Fruits in One Pieceand almost every other Devil Fruit that Oda introduces fits into this class. As such, there is no shortage of amazing Paramecia abilities. The same can be said for the Zoan types. Most of the Devil Fruits that fans have seen of late belong to the Zoan class, specifically the Mythical Zoan.

For example, Luffy's very own fruit, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, was recently revealed to be a Zoan type, specifically of the Mythic class. Likewise, fans know that even the villains of the playoffs One Piece holding Devil Fruits similar to those of the Zoans. The Five Elders, recently revealed in Egghead, all have abilities similar to the Mythical Zoans, or, in their case, it could be something slightly different since they are all demons. The Imu themselves are known to have a transformation as well, essentially confirming that they also have a Mythical Zoan or some similar ability.

Given that all the major villains in the One Piece now bearing Mythical Zoans, or at least, animalistic transformation type Devil Fruits, fans absolutely cannot wait to see the story take a different path. Of course, Paramecia is a class there is absolutely no shortage of, meaning Logia is the only ability that needs more focus.

This makes even more sense when you consider the fact that Logia are generally considered to be the strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. It is the most powerful class, although Mythical Zoans are technically rarer. The Logia class offers incredible powers, and for Oda not to have utilized this ability for any of the top tiers is puzzling. Of course there are Marine Admirals and Fleet Admirals, and there's Blackbeard, who has a unique Logia, but most of these characters were introduced before the timeskip.

After the time shift, no overwhelmed Logia user has been introduced One Piecewhich doesn't make sense, considering that the new world is where the strongest characters unite, and strong Logia users should be present here. As such, if Loki were to have a Logia type of Devil Fruit, it would make a lot of sense and enhance the story itself.

The lack of Logia Devil Fruits in one piece

Logia Devil Fruits need more attention in one piece

There are only a handful of Logia Devil Fruits that fans have seen in One Piece. So far, there are a total of 13 Logia Devil Fruits, which really isn't much at all.

The first Logia Devil Fruit introduced in the series was Smoker's Moku Moku no Mi, and the last one that fans got to see belongs to Karasu, the North Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army, who has the power of Susu Susu no. Mi. Obviously, there are some overpowered Logia abilities that fans have seen in history. All of these range from Ace's Mera Mera no Mi to Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi. These abilities are rightfully the strongest in One Piece, which is why fans need to see more of them possessed by overpowered characters.

The strongest of all Devil Fruits, the Logia type!

The case of Loki is particularly interesting. Loki is known to have a legendary devil fruit that he ate not too long ago in the story. This devil fruit was passed down to the royal family of giants and has been protected for centuries. Loki consumed this Devil Fruit and this is somehow connected to him believing that he is the sun god. What power this Devil Fruit offers that is similar to the Sun God, fans do not know.

Of course, logic would dictate that this Devil Fruit is a mythical zoan that allows Loki to transform into some sort of God. This makes even more sense since Elbaf is based on Norse mythology, which has many powerful gods that Oda can incorporate into the story through the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits. But Logia is the way to go, as it would add a new flavor to the story, and it would also revive a Devil Fruit class that Oda hasn't paid much attention to in the post-timeskip story.

Loki needs a strong loge in Elbaf

A giant with a Logia would be unstoppable

It's not like the idea of Loki having a Logia-type Devil Fruit came out of nowhere. In the Dressrosa arc, fans specifically saw Hajrudin try to claim the Mera Mera no Mi, which is a low Logia. According to Hajrudin, a Logia-type devil fruit possessed by a giant would make them unstoppable. Hajrudin also claimed that he would eat the fruit and become king of Elbaf. It's obvious that he watched his brother eat a powerful Devil Fruit and then set off to eat one that could make him a direct rival. Of course, this would make sense if Loki had a Logia ability and Hajrudin went in search of one himself.

Have you ever seen a giant with a Logia? Don't worry, you will! – Hajrudin

There aren't many powerful abilities other than Mera Mera no Mi, which explains why he came to Dressrosa in the first place. This is an important hint from Oda, with the other being that Logia are clearly the strongest fruits in the whole One Piece.

Prince Loki from One Piece 1127

If Loki has a Logia-type Devil Fruit, it would be absolutely incredible to see him use it with immense power. So far, fans have not seen any powerful Logia users with Supreme King Haki. Perhaps, Loki would be the first and it would be interesting to see how that ability would compete with Luffy's very own Sun God Nika. Regardless of which path Oda takes, fans can be sure that Loki's powers will be fascinating, and if he clashes with Luffy, the battle will be of historic proportions.
