Where to find the night mite
This quest is a hidden requirement to unlock both Timon and Pumbaa's level ten missionshowever, you must obtain both Timon and Pumbaa to max friendship before it starts.
With these two villagers maxed out, the hunt begins. Search around your village, generally the peaceful meadowwhat a shady little bug. The moves incredibly fast and leaves a trail of darkness in its wake.
The location of the night mite varies depending on how you have set up your village. Keep your eyes open!
Thankfully, it moves in a pattern. See where the bug moves and time your own movements so you can step in the way and catch it. When you have the error in your inventory, take it to Merlin for investigation.
When he sees the night mite, he realizes it they have a similar effect to the Night Thorns. You must recruit the best bug catchers in the valley to help with this attack: Timon and Pumbaa!
After you talk to Timon and Pumbaa, go to Merlin's library to begin the investigation. Talk to Merlin about the details, then talk to the bug hunters again to finish the quest and immediately begin The Infestation questline to get rid of the night mite once and for all!
