A key factor in the tribe's survival is the continued development of the villages that players can create. To do this, you need to collect a number of important materials scattered throughout the world. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to find one of the more important ones, so players can get an understanding of how to find root in Tower of Aghasba.

Towers of Aghasba: How To Get A Mount (A Mount For Your Troubles Quest)
Players can obtain a mountain in the Towers of Aghasba sometime after reaching the mainland of the Ishaya region.
How to root in Towers of Aghasba
As the name suggests, Root is a resource that players can find when cutting down or harvesting various plants throughout the game. However, this does not apply to all flora types in this crafting and survival game, and it is not always guaranteed. Much like the animals you can scan with your Shimuscope, each plant or tree you harvest will have a chance to earn player loot from a variety of materials.
To find root, players must do so dig root crops with a spade or cut down any dead trees they meet. While you'll have much more success with root plants, like the Spindle Root you find early in the game, trees will also occasionally give you root, on top of the regular wood and tree bark.
What do you use root for?
It may not be obvious from the initial stages of your playthrough, but Root is actually an edible material that has healing properties. Players can consume Root to replenish a small amount of healthalong with using the materials to complete certain crafting jobs.
Additionally, Root can be used as a way to earn more Amity, since your character isn't the only one consuming the product as part of their diet. Some wild animals, such as Juvor, will eat root when offered it, as well as accept it as a means of tending wounds when injured. Feed animals will not only earn you Amity, but also other useful crafting resources like Dung.
