What you can expect from STORROR Parkour Pro

Parkour is a really tricky thing to get right in a video game. First-person parkour games can be incredibly immersive, but they can easily cause motion sickness if the game's camera isn't quite perfect. And while third-person parkour games can eliminate the possibility of motion sickness, they can also take away the freedom of movement that's usually one of the genre's biggest appeals. BIG Parkour Pro looks to offer the best of both worlds.

Although it was first teased about three years ago, BIG Parkour Pro was officially announced just a few days ago, when it was given a Steam Early Access release window of Q1 2025. While its announcement trailer might not necessarily impress with its visuals, BIG Parkour Pro has some really exciting features under the surface, making it a game really worth checking out.

What players can expect from STORROR Parkour Pro

STORROR Parkour Pro puts player freedom at the center

The biggest takeaway from BIG Parkour Pros reveal trailer and its pre-release marketing is that it is a game primarily designed to give the player as much freedom as possible. For example, BIG Parkour Pro uses a mix of physics-based animations and motion-capture from real parkour athletes to capture the game's incredibly fluid movement. According to the game's Steam page, “no two moves are the same,” with the game apparently featuring hundreds of animations that seem to flow seamlessly into one another.

BIG Parkour Pros control system reinforces this concept of player freedom. While exact details of the game's control scheme have not yet been given, the game's Steam page says that players will be able to “choose what [they] do and when [they] do it,” implying that players will have a lot of freedom in how they use the game's various parkour animations and inputs.

A further reinforcement of BIG Parkour ProThe high level of player freedom is the open world of the game. Set on London's Isle of Dogs, players will have a large concrete jungle to play in. This modern metropolis will feature moving trains, large cranes and towering skyscrapers, and players will have the freedom to explore everything at their own pace.

HUGE Parkour Pro game modes and multiplayer

Although it is still early days, BIG Parkour Pro has tentatively confirmed a handful of game modes ahead of its Q1 2025 release window. Players will be able to “escape from security,” complete time trials, rack up points in a skill contest, and participate in some sort of narrative campaign that will see players disrupt the establishment looking to demolish their home town.

A great blessing for BIG Parkour Pro is that many of its game modes will also be playable in online multiplayer, whether it's co-op missions or competing in head-to-head races. Players will also be able to customize their own Parkour Pro and earn different outfits as they progress through the game's missions and participate in open-world challenges.

BIG Parkour Pro's Journey is just the beginning

As mentioned a few times, when BIG Parkour Pro launching in the first quarter of 2025, it will be on its way to Steam Early Access. According to its Steam store page, Parkour Pro will remain in early access for approximately 6-12 months, and the developers hope to use community feedback to fine-tune the game's innovative movement system. During Parkour Pros early access period, developer Hole in the Sleeve will also release some behind-the-scenes videos detailing the development journey.
