In order to close the month of March, Nintendo Recently, a new directly dedicated completely to games planned for the current switch. The event lasted only for about 30 minutes, but it still contained some remarkable announcements from first and third-party developers. As exciting as these game messages were, two of the more surprising revelations from this week's Nintendo Direct did not come from Nintendo himself, but instead from Sony, by all companies. During the presentation, Sony confirmed that Patapon and Everybody's Golf Franchise services would make their debut at Nintendo Switch. The first two Patapon Games will be gathered together and remashed as part of Patapon 1+2 Replay Collection and Everybody's Golf The series will receive a new main line payment called Everyone's golf hot shot. Both Patapon 1+2 Replay and Everyone's golf hot shot Will be launched at Nintendo Switch, except PS5 and PC, later this year.

For decades, Sony has actively prevented its IPs, no matter how big or small, from being launched on non-players. The confirmation of Patapon 1+2 Replay and Everyone's golf hot shot For the switch, however, indicates that the Japanese conglomerate is starting to get a heart change about multiplatform release. Although these new Patapon and Everybody's Golf Games have been licensed to Bandai Namco instead of being published by Sony himself, it seems that the prospects for classic Playstation IPs come to Nintendo consoles are no longer a pipe dream.
Japan Studio, the developer who worked at Patapon and everyone's Golf, also made Gravity Rush
Exciting, almost all Sony games that have come to Nintendo Switch so far are Japan Studio titles. The now completed Sony-Dotterbolaget made many AA games exclusively for Playstation platforms, including Patapon and Everybody's Golf. However, one of the projects that it was best known for was the cult classic Gravity franchise. Sony is not actively working on any new Gravity video games, but it produces a live-action Gravity Film based on the series, which it showed a short excerpt during CES 2024.
Gravity Rush would fit perfectly for Nintendo Switch
Since Sony apparently is okay with licensing its IPs to other publishers and letting their Legacy games come to Nintendo platforms, it can potentially release a remastered compilation of Gravity Rush 1 and 2 For Nintendo Switch and/or Switch 2 in the future. Although relatively old games, these titles would probably squeeze quite well on Nintendo's platform, perhaps even more than Everybody's Golf and Patapon. Because of this it would be a smart move for Sony to time to release a possible Gravity Remastered collection associated with the coming Gravity film. Getting the games in front of a larger audience before the film was released can generate much more profit for both Sony and its Playstation Division.
