The world of My Hero Academia which is created by Kohei Horikoshi has introduced us to quite a few powerful quirks. Over the years, fans have seen some of the most incredible abilities illustrated, but at the same time, there are also underwhelming quirks in this story, which only makes sense, since not every power is going to be extremely special.
While each Quirk is unique in its own way, there are some that just aren't that useful and don't give the user much benefit at all.

Gecko
Gecko is a quirk used by Spinner, one of the lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. This Quirk allows him to transform himself into a lizard, and the only ability he gains is to be able to stick to everyone. Regardless of how fans view this work, it's pretty worthless. Of course, this Quirk was amplified by All For One significantly later. However, in its original form, Quirk offers hardly any significant upgrade.

Gas
The Gas Quirk is a rather unique ability in My Hero Academia which you would think is quite special. This is because this work allows one to produce a gas that, when inhaled, can instantly put one to sleep and cause internal damage. However, the user himself must always wear a mask.
Also, the user cannot actually contain the gas flow. They can only produce gas from their body, which then spreads over a larger area. Another major weakness of this Quirk is that it can be easily masked, and even the smallest attacks can take the user down, making it extremely easy to counter, even for children.

Pop Off
Pop Off is Mineta's quirk, and it allows him to produce sticky spheres from his scalp that he can use in many ways. He can use it to gain additional leverage in battle or bombard his enemies. While they can come in handy, they don't offer much of an advantage. Also, he can't use them endlessly in battle. The more he pulls, the more his scalp hurts. If he overdoes it, he can even start bleeding from the scalp, which just goes to show that this Quirk isn't actually special in any way.

Telescopic
One of the most bizarre quirks introduced in the My Hero AcademiaTelescopic allows the user to retract their body parts into themselves, similar to how a turtle does with its shell. It ends up making the user look like a bizarre individual, and there just isn't much utility to this Quirk.
At best, the user can dodge some attacks aimed at them and surprise the opponent once. Overall, this is one of the most useless Quirks that fans have seen in My Hero Academia, and it doesn't even make much of a difference if this Quirk doesn't exist.

Quirk bestowal
Yoichi's Quirk is quite interesting. Fans know that he was the first user of the One For All and that the Quirk itself is one of the strongest in the entire series, if not the strongest. But Yoichi originally had a quirk that could be passed from one person to another. This was half of what later came to be known as One For All.
Yoichi's Quirk was useless on its own. All it could do was transfer to another person, and it would offer them nothing at all. No matter how the fans look at it, the original Quirk he had was completely useless. It wasn't until All For One gave him the Strength Gathering Quirk that he ended up spawning One For All, which then became one of the strongest Quirks in the entire series.

Sliding Quirk
Utilized by Slidin' Go, the Sliding Quirk is an unnamed meta-ability that fans have seen quite a few times in the series. It was also shown in battle between the League of Villains and the Meta Liberation Army.
Fans could see Slidin' Go using this Quirk, and it allowed him to slide across surfaces over long distances. That's all Quirk does and while it's certainly a very fun power to use and would be helpful when it comes to travel, it doesn't do much more than that in a world where heroes and villains run everything.
1
Sponge
Mushroom is an ability that has both an upside and a downside. Basically, the user of the Quirk can spread spores and create mushrooms anywhere. This Quirk can also be used to cause suffocation, making it a dangerous weapon.
However, the downside of this Quirk is that it takes quite a long time for the spores to spread, and at the same time there should be an ideal environment for this Quirk to show its true colors. Without it, the mushroom property isn't even worth using. But even when it stops working, it can be easily countered by average individuals, making it extremely underwhelming.
