Jerk Content creator Tectone has confirmed that his two-week ban from the Amazon-owned service has been briefly canceled and that he can return to streaming as usual. Tectone later said that while Twitch stated that his ban was turned due to good behavior, he believed that the turn was due to backlash against Twitch from his fans and thanked his audience for their support.
The turn of Tectone's ban is only the latest in a series of changes that are happening on Twitch. In February, Twitch announced that it changed part of its prohibition policy and confirmed that some violations would be forgiven at a fixed duration. Minor violations would be dried after 90 days, although certain prohibitions administered due to “hateful behavior” may last a year or two before the end. In addition, Twitch stated that it would not be as easier against repeated perpetrators and that some suspension could be extended before a forgiveness limit is reached. Twitch's updated prohibition policy will be fully released in the coming months.
