The player gets an awesome Pokemon themed keyboard made by his wife

A Pokémon fan has received an amazing gift from his wife in the form of a custom keyboard covered in Pokemon. The unique Pokémon gift not only includes some of the fan favorites, but also includes a number of funny puns based on the keys that the individual Pokemon appears on.

Custom keyboards have become a popular way to celebrate a favorite franchise. Mechanical keyboards are often designed with removable keys, so users can swap them out for whatever they want, whether they want something more ergonomic, flashy, or completely custom. But in this case, the fan's wife actually hand-painted the keys, showing tremendous attention to detail and skill in the process.

Pokemon TCG Pocket reports staggering revenue

Pokemon TCG Pocket earns an eye-watering amount of money and manages another impressive milestone relatively soon after its launch.

Reddit user HolyMatrignomey shared Pokémon keyboard that their wife designed for them. According to HolyMatrignomey, their wife picked up a regular keyboard from Amazon and then went to work hand painting the keys with some of their favorite Pokemon. In addition to a number of the pocket monsters themselves, there are also some of the keys Pokémon iconography, such as the iconic red, black and white of a Pokeball over some of the keys, as well as Pokemon Gym badges on the function keys. The effort shows the love the two have for each other, and also required a fair amount of talent, given the keyboard's small size and the detailed work that went into each one.

Pokemon fans notice fun keyboard puns

HolyMatrignomey noted that some of the keys are puns, and users have started working on figuring them out. Some of them include Shiftry on the Shift keys, Clefairy on the Space key acknowledging its alien origins, Entei on enter and some simpler letter associations, like Onix on the O key or Jolteon on the J key. Players even found puns where they weren't intended, noting that Snorlax, one of HolyMatrignomey's favorites, worked perfectly as the Caps Lock key, turning it into a “Snor-lock” key.

Some users expressed concern that the hard work that went into the custom keyboard keys could be damaged by actually using it. HolyMatrignomey responded by noting that they have no intention of actually using the keyboard and will show it. But their wife made this possible, as they added protective layers over the keys to help keep the colors from fading away with use. Whether displayed or used, it is sure to be a reminder of the relationship the two share and the love of Pokémon OP has.
