Although there are too many great cards in Pokemon TCG to enumerate, some of its legendary Pokemon have a combination of the most spectacular colors and wonderful compositions of any card. When it comes to legendary dragon-type Pokemon, many people think of good examples of Pokemon with valuable decks, such as Latios.
Reshiram is another example of a great Pokemon that has great designs for its most valuable cards; But many of the options have repeating patterns in different styles. Given that many of the best Reshiram cards have identical designs, only the most expensive cards are shown, with a single repeated design.
The cards are ordered according to their TCGPlayer
market price,
on average you can pay for a copy of the cards below.
However,
sale prices vary depending on the condition of the card,
so this market price is only a rough idea of the card's value.
5 Reshiram & Zekrom GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Secret Rare) – $60.21
Embrace the rainbow
Reshiram wouldn't be where it is today without a little help from its friend – and by friend we mean its opposite. Zekrom, the yin to Reshiram's yang, joins Fire and Dragon-type Pokémon along with their trainer, N, in this stunning Rainbow Secret Rare from Cosmic Eclipse.
Unfortunately, unlike some of the best Rainbow Secret Rares from Sun & Moon, Reshiram and Zekrom's split scene with N is incredibly detailed, making the rainbow recolor more of a distraction than an enhancement.
Since Cosmic Eclipse is a modern set, these cards are usually still in good condition, often available in easy play (LP) or almost mint (NM) condition. LP sales record near the $50 plateau, while you can expect to pay a premium for NM copies, up to $60 or more for the nicest cards.
4 Reshiram EX: Next Destinies (Full Art) – $77.48
A living, fiery scene
Next Destinies is a set primarily highlighted by the three characters from the previous post: N, Zekrom and, of course, Reshiram. But this amazing full art giving Reshiram all the limelight to himself, as the explosive fire behind it provides the perfect epic backdrop for this Pokémon's royal white fur to shine.
As an older set from the Black & White era, Next Destinies cards have seen some wear and tear over time, as you'll find the full range of conditions available. Heavy played (HP) cards can sell for about $20, with moderate play (MP) cards hovering around a similar value. LP pushes up to the $45 mark, while NM copies are exploding in the $75 range.
3 Reshiram & Zekrom GX: Cosmic Eclipse (Full Art) – $102.12
An epic moment in its full glory
It's no surprise that one of the best cards from Cosmic Eclipse lays claim to the best Reshiram cards, with the trio having us return for an encore in their full art version. The collection of vibrant colors deserves to shine through in its original glory, as the epic quality of the scene is evident.
Unlike Rainbow Secret Rare, this version's details are more
easy to distinguish.
Unfortunately, this card lost a significant portion of its value, as it once traded over $115 in 2023, but in 2024, the card has collapsed into a new range around the $100 mark, settling as low as $93. However, this card is trending upwards and can continue his run in the triple digits.
2 Reshiram: Legendary Treasures (Full Art Secret Rare) – $103.87
Lost In The Gold
While we wait to see if Reshiram & Zekrom GX can team up, we turn our attention to the dazzling golden version of Reshiram from Legendary Treasures. This amazing card's divisive design makes it difficult to fully appreciate the Pokemon, as Reshiram can get lost in the monochromatic color scheme.
This Reshiram is incredibly hard to find in good condition, with damaged specimens starting at around $33. MP cards usually sell for $41 and LP copies can jump as high as $75, with a single recent NM sales exceeds the $100 plateau to the amount of $103.85. Considering how hard it is to enjoy this card's depiction of Reshiram, it's shocking that it has so much value.
1 Reshiram & Charizard GX: Unbroken Bonds (Secret Rare) – $130.35
The top dogs unite
Reshiram and Charizard combine for the most valuable Reshiram card ever, as this gem from Unbroken Bonds is also one of the most expensive cards in that set. Unlike the Rainbow Secret Rare that started us off, this card's design is much more conducive to the rainbow color palette, as Reshiram and Charizard's original palettes are pretty simple.
You can find damaged copies of this card for as little as $29, while perfect NM cards will cost closer to $125. If you want a decent copy but aren't keen on the idea of spending over $100, you can find MP cards closer to $90, although LPs jump into the $105 range.
