The last of us co -creator Neil Druckmann has announced that he is going away from HBO's adaptation so that he can focus on Naughty Dog and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Although the first season was one of the best gaming adjustments out there, it is fair to say that season 2 of HBO's last of us was a pretty big disappointment. Adapting such a controversial and complicated game would always be difficult, but HBO's attempt missed the brand in several ways.

Although many viewers and fans of the series were not happy with The Last of US second season, the show has been such a monumental hit that it would always have a third season. Interestingly, it has been revealed that the last of us co -creators and naughty dog manager Neil Druckmann will not be involved in the show's future.

Intergalactic: The heretic prophet is now his main focus
Over on Naughty Dog's official Instagram page was shared a statement that confirmed that Druckmann will no longer work with HBO's The Last of Us. Druckmann says it was a “difficult decision” that was made so that he can focus entirely on Naughty Dog's future project.
Druckmann notes that he decided to move away from HBO's last of us before any “meaningful work” had started with his coming third season, and that he will now focus on writing and directing Intergalactic: the herether Prophet. Although not mentioned in the statement, we also know that Naughty Dog is working on another game, which Druckmann will probably also focus on.

For those who do not know, Druckmann had a lot of commitment during the first two seasons of HBO's The Last of Us. The last of us co -creators acted as an executive producer, writer and even a director for the show, which made it a pretty big shock that he resigns before the last of us part 2's adjustment has ended.
