One Piece Anime's Egghead Arc Return Date Confirmed

The One Piece anime is on hiatus. A return date is now confirmed for the Egghead arc.

Towards the end of One Piece chapter 1134, fans saw two mysterious characters appear on Elbaf, and they will most certainly serve the role of main antagonists in this part of the story. Of course, their identities still remain unknown, although one of them looks very similar to a fan favorite.

Who are Elbaf's two main villains?

  • Shank's twin appeared on Elbaf

  • Another hooded person is a big mystery

As seen towards the end of One Piece chapter 1134 the Elbaf arc now has its main set of villains. If it was a thing that Elbaf bow of One Piece was missing, it was a real antagonistic group. Now, that doesn't mean Oda couldn't nail this aspect of the story properly in Elbaf. But that simply meant fans had to wait a bit before they started appearing in the story, and the adventure aspect of the arc ended. Oda took his time exploring the various levels of Elbaf, with the Astral World left out for later in the arc.

I want to talk about a certain pirate. – Shank's twin

Regardless, One Piece chapter 1134 gave fans their first look at the main antagonists of this arc, and both are affiliated with the World Government. At the very end of the chapter, a massive summoning circle was seen in the second level of Elbaf, the Solworld. This summoning circle is very similar to the one used in the Egghead Arc and Gorosei spawned. This leads one to believe that this ability is related to either a member of the Five Elders, or potentially even Imu. Through this summoning circle, fans saw two characters emerge, and one of them has actually been introduced to fans in One Piece chapter 907.

Then a mysterious caped individual was seen meeting the five elders. Fans assumed this character was the red-haired emperor, Shanks, due to the identical appearance. Now, however, fans know that this character is not actually Shanks but someone else entirely.

The connection between Shanks and Elbaf's villains

Shanks is the brother of Elbaf's main villain

As friends know, Shanks is currently sailing the seas with the Red Hair Pirates. He is not in Elbaf and already left this place a while ago, with various missions to attend to. Obviously, this person can't be Shanks, but it sure is someone who looks exactly like him, and that's where the confusion begins. The truth is that this person is related to Shanks by blood. He is Shank's twin brother, and as fans know, St. Garling Figarland actually has more than just one child. It was heavily implied in the Kuma flashback of the Egghead Arc that St Garling has multiple children.

Look closely, children! – Garling Figarland

How many fans don't know, but at least it can be assumed that Garling had two children. All of his children were present during the God Valley Incident, and this is where Shanks separated from the Figarland family. Meanwhile, the other child, who is supposed to be Shank's twin, stayed with the World Government and is now being sent to Elbaf. The name of this character has not been revealed yet and it will likely be revealed in One Piece chapter 1135, which means fans will have to wait for its release. But at least what readers already know is that this Shanks lookalike is the main antagonist of the Elbaf arc.

Family

One Piece: Oda just revealed the strongest family in the series

There are many powerful families in One Piece. This one is the strongest.

Then there is another person with Shanks who wore a similar cape, and it is clear that this character may also be related to him. Although the face doesn't match, fans don't know exactly how many children Garling has, and the fact that she's working along with the Shanks lookalike makes it seem like this character could also be related to Shanks.

It is also possible that this character, who most likely works for the Holy Knights, comes from another Heavenly Family. Although it is unknown which family it might be, fans know that the Manmeyer family has been introduced before. But at the same time, it should also be remembered that there are many other families in which Oda has not revealed One Piece yet, and this other woman could be from any of them. As is the case with the Shanks look, fans will most likely find out more about her in the upcoming chapter.

What is the future role of Elbaf's invaders?

The invaders will wreak havoc in the land of Elbaf

The future of Elbaf's Intruders depends entirely on how Oda wants to handle this arc. In fact, it doesn't seem likely that they will fight directly in Elbaf as it is. This is because they are far too few in number, and they cannot possibly stand up to the might of the Giant Warrior Pirates, combined with the Straw Hat Pirates, and of course the likes of Loki. An all-out battle between these two individuals and the entire alliance on the other side seems suicidal, to say the least. But if the Knights of God are truly majestic individuals, each of them being comparable to a Yonko, then of course this battle would make sense.

Currently, there is no indication that these individuals are at Yonko's level. This leads one to believe that these individuals are there to deliver a message. Given that they will still play an antagonistic role in this arc, this message will likely be a warning from the World Government and information about impending doom that Elbaf may face. It is likely that after a skirmish these individuals will return to where they came from, as they may not be able to be taken down so soon after being introduced. Fans should keep an eye out for these characters, but above all, remember that they're unlikely to put up an all-out battle here already, at least not without additional backup.

Of course, that doesn't take anything away from their importance to the Elbaf arc, and even if they leave, they'll likely return later when doom falls on Elbaf and Ragnarok officially begins. For now, fans should be happy that Elbaf finally has his own set of antagonists now, and hopefully things will clear up in time.
