These are the 10 most expensive cards in Magic: The Gathering's Secrets of Strixhaven
Magic: the Gathering's new Secrets of Strixhaven contains some incredibly expensive cards for the game's most dedicated collectors.
Make Marvel's Heroes Super with Power-Up
One of the biggest new mechanics added with Marvel Super Heroes the expansion is Power-Up. Power-Up provides a one-time buff, similar to the Exhaust abilities introduced in Aetherdrift, which gives the creature a boost in the form of +1/+1 counters along with other bonus effects. Power-Up also includes the ability for Heroes to increase their combat ability directly, reducing the Power-Up cost by the creature's mana cost during the turn it is cast.
Power-Up doesn't just boost raw power and toughness; it also grants special bonuses attached to the abilities. Thanos, Mad Titan provides a powerful board wipe alongside the counters, allowing Thanos to “snap” creatures and choose either odd or even mana values to destroy. Captain Marvel similarly gains indestructible when he turns on, which fits with the “Protector of Earth” flavor of the card.

Build the ultimate group of heroes with teamwork
Given the heavy focus on superhero teams like The Avengers and The Fantastic Four, one of the new mechanics focuses on making creatures work together. The new Teamwork keyword acts as an additional cost for certain spells i Marvel Super Heroeswhich works similarly to the Convoke mechanic. Players can tap creatures with total power equal to or greater than the cost specified by the ability to gain additional Teamwork effects on cards, which are often used to achieve both effects of modal cards that require the player to choose.
Teamwork encourages players to use their creatures towards a greater goal, and achieve stronger effects on their instants and spells by working together. Hulk Smash can allow players to both destroy non-creature artifacts and potentially other creatures by using Teamwork, while Murdock's Crusade offers both Creature and Enchantment removal.
Create a villainous plan with new enchantments
Magic: The Gathering brings a new subtype to the game as part of Marvel Super Heroes with the debut of Plan Enchantment cards. Planer uses a new type of counter, aptly called a plan counter, to build towards a large payout. The first deck card revealed by Wizards of the Coast, Doom Reigns Supreme, tasks the player with assembling a squad of 5 villains, draining the opponent for 1 life each time a villain they control enters the battlefield. Reaching the fifth plane counter then causes the player to assume their villainous act, with Doom Reigns Supreme exiling cards from an opponent's library and playing them for free.
Planer represents the more villainous side of Marvel Super Heroes expansion, where the player devises a grand plot to take down his opponent. Plans will also receive some non-Enchantment support within the set, including The Masters of Evil allowing players to search for Plan cards in their deck.
Fight Marvel's biggest villains with stronger heroes
While the Hero Creature subtype was in the Spider-Man crossover, and also in Final Fantasy set, Marvel Super Heroes gives players tons of tools to build their own hero teams. Wizards of the Coast emphasizes that while Spider-Man including support for villain themed decks, hero themed decks will get more tools Marvel Super Heroes. One card revealed for the set, Agent Phil Coulson, puts +1/+1 counters on each Hero creature the player controls. The expansion will also include even more support for players looking to build their own ideal team of heroes.
