The best PC games worth buying right now

SteamSummer sales are finally here, and with it come great discounts on everything from major triple-A releases to niche indie titles. As usual, the sale will run for around two weeks, giving you plenty of time to grab any of the deals you're interested in before they're gone.

That said, with hundreds of games on sale, it can be difficult to track down all the best deals, especially if they weren't already on your wishlist. For that reason, we've put together a list of some of the best deals you'll find during one of the best sales of the year!

Steam's summer sale ends 9 July 2026, at 10 a.m. PT, so be sure to grab any deals you're looking at before then!

Resident Evil Requiem

$55.99 $69.99

Grace meets the girl in Resident Evil Requiem.

20 percent off might not be the best deal on this list, but considering this game is barely six months old, it's still a pretty insane deal. This is only the second time this game has gone on sale on Steam since its release, with the first being earlier this month as part of Capcom's own discount event, so I wouldn't expect to see it this low again anytime soon.

Games on this list are listed in order of current price at time of salenot discount percentages or if one game is better than another.

Steam Machine performance can't keep up with PS5 Pro despite significantly higher price tag

You'd expect more from a Steam Machine given the price difference, but it doesn't look like you're going to get it.

19

Baldur's Gate 3

$44.99 $59.99

A player and their party stand in front of the artifact in Baldur's Gate 3.

I doubt I need to tell you what this game is, but if you still haven't played this Game of the Year 2023 winner, now is the time to grab it. $45 may still seem a bit pricey compared to other discounts included in this sale, but BG3 has never been more than 25 percent off in its lifetime on Steam, so this is still the best deal you'll find.

18

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

35.99 44.99

gustave showered with petals in clair obscur. Sandfall Interactive

Given that Clair Obscur was 2025's most lucrative prize winner, I'd be shocked if you still haven't picked it up yet and given it a shot. Even if this game is outside of your normal interests, it's definitely worth playing and you can grab it right now for 20 percent off.

17

Borderlands 4

$34.99 $69.99

Rafa from Borderlands 4 cuts through two enemies with his blades.

Despite being out for less than a year, you can currently grab Borderlands 4 at its lowest price ever on Steam, 50 percent off! That said, if you also miss Borderlands 3, you can actually buy the bundle of B3 and B4 for even cheaper than you can get B4 by itself.

16

Fire Ring Nightreign

$29.99 $39.99

A player who completes the Undertaker Remembrance quest in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

This is the third time Nightreign has gone on sale since launch, and while the price isn't lower than previous sales, it's still a great deal for this standalone adventure set in the world of one of the best games of the last decade.

15

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

$23.99 $59.99

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - A knight in armor rides through a forest filled with corpses.

While it may not have been able to beat the beast that was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at the 2025 Game Awards, this GOTY nominee still earned its place among the best of the best in 2025, and now you can get it for more than half of its original launch price.

14

Persona

Persona 3 Reload $20.99 $59.99 | Persona 5 Royal $17.99 $59.99 | Metaphor ReFantazio $27.99 $69.99

Joker standing with some of his confidantes in Persona 5 Royal.

With Persona 6 finally teased during this year's Xbox Showcase, which took place during Summer Game Fest, now is as good a time as any to get hooked on the series. Persona 4 will soon be releasing its remake for players to enjoy as well, but since you don't have to play them in any specific order, go ahead and grab Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal while you wait.

If you're more into a traditional fantasy setting, Atlus Metaphor ReFantazio is also on sale!

13

God Of War

God Of War $19.99 $49.99 | God Of War Ragnarok $40.19 $59.99

Kratos butt heads with Faye in God of War Ragnarok.

Despite popular belief, God of War Laufey is not a prequel and will instead run parallel to the events of God of War and God of War: Ragnarok, meaning you don't need any previous God of War knowledge. But some background knowledge can't hurt, so if you want to catch up, now's your chance!

12

Delta rune

$19.99 $24.99

Sans in Deltarune, talking to Kris.

With the latest release of Chapter 5, there's no better time to get caught up in Undertale's spiritual sequel, so you can enjoy the remaining chapters as they're released.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix

$19.99 $49.99

While we patiently wait for more news on Kingdom Hearts 4, after the short trailer from this summer's Nintendo Direct, now is the best time to catch up on the rest of the games or enjoy them again.
