Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has a huge amount of content to unpack, and it will no doubt intimidate many players. Almost every aspect of the game takes this approach, with its roster being a prime example. Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero may attract many fans with this, but it has also resulted in some problems with the quality of life of the game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking ZeroThe entire roster includes more than 180 playable characters. But a significant portion of this number consists of alternate forms, transformations, and fusions. The Fusions in particular are truly formidable fighters, but their power is sometimes overshadowed by a glaring quality-of-life issue in the character selection screen.

Fusion Characters Reveal Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero's Quality of Life Blindspot
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero unleashes the potential of fusions
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero's Beginner's Guide is just one of many techniques the game uses to guide its players through the basics. Most important to assembling a team is the Destruction Point system, which assigns each character in the game a point value based on profitability, and then limits the maximum number of points a player can spend. Fusions are by far some of the most expensive characters in the game, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Fusions can be overpowered and overpriced, but the game uses team building incentives like Destruction Points to compensate for this. First of all, a character is generally cheapest in its base form. Similarly, transforming or merging a character manually during the match will always give them a higher power cap than if they already started the match in an empowered state.
Fusions Reveal Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero's Character Select Issues
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is clearly encouraging players to take this approach, but Fusion needs a few tweaks if the developers hope to see this plan completed. Both in the character selection screen and during a match, Fusion characters can feel a bit clunky. Thankfully, addressing this question shouldn't be as big a task as the question itself.
Characters in their base form will have the ability to transform into all subsequent transformations throughout the match, provided they have saved enough skill points. Fusion requires the same resource, but there is an unfortunate factor that separates transformations and Fusion i Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. Especially when viewing a fighter in character selection, players can easily see every transformation that will be available to them. Unfortunately, this is not the case for Fusions at this time.
Instead, players generally have to guess and pray when it comes to building their team with Fusion in mind. There are some characters that this approach might work for, but it's really not convenient in general. Kefla may be easy to build into thanks to only really having one incarnation, but the same cannot be said for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zeros different versions of Gogeta. Also, this issue is made that much more difficult thanks to the other quality of life issues currently plaguing Fusions.
In simpler terms, it can be a bit of a pain to team up mid-match, despite the advertised benefits. Fusion requires opening the same menu transformation that requires, and this has already started inconvenient. Even worse, Fusions are hosted on a completely separate panel from transformation, requiring players to scroll mid-battle. This is even worse for Goku and Vegeta, whose multiple Fusion options require yet another separate page.
The latter issue doesn't necessarily have an immediate fix, as it's relatively built into the game's system at this point. However, it would be greatly remedied if developers managed to address the former issue. Even better, the character selection setback shouldn't require any major upheaval whatsoever. The current question with Dragon Ball: Sparking Zeros character selection screen is lacking in information, so a future update just needs to plug in that information where it belongs.
