Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has given fans a lot of exciting things to look forward to, but nothing fans like the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. As clearly neither Naruto Uzumaki nor Sasuke Uchiha are active in the story right now. Naruto Uzumaki was sealed away by Kawaki in Boruto: Two Blue Vortexwhile Sasuke Uchiha turned into a tree in the story's time jump. Even though they are both incapacitated, fans know very well that they will eventually return.
Not only is the return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha virtually confirmedbut fans know very well that they will return stronger than ever before. Both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke will have some massive powers lined up for themand fans absolutely cannot wait to see them go to the top again. As for Naruto Uzumaki, a new Tailed Beast power-up seems likely, while Sasuke Uchiha's timeskip training has already put him on par with the strongest characters in Boruto.

Naruto Uzumaki eventually comes back in Borutoand that's something every fan of the story knows. Once he returns, he will be stronger and this has been officially confirmed by Fishing and Ikemoto. This is because currently Sasuke Uchiha is much stronger than him.

In it Boruto computer bookit has been officially stated that Sasuke trained during the time jump and became stronger. As his strength increased, he surpassed Naruto. Of course, right now, Naruto is way below Sasuke's level. As said, Kishimoto has previously said that Naruto and Sasuke must grow togetherand they must be equal in power.
As such, when Naruto returns, he must become stronger. The two ways for him to get stronger include both Tailed Beasts. Either Naruto Uzumaki can seek out the eight tailed beasts, and maybe even Kurama, and borrow their chakra, or maybe he can absorb Jura's powersgiven that Jura is an incarnate Tailed Beast and cannot die.

As for Sasuke Uchiha, fans know very well that he has been training during the time jump. His training with Boruto have already seen him reach a high power level. Sasuke was able to fight and even hurt Code without his Limiters. To put it into perspective, Code without limiters is stronger than Jigen, and Jigen could beat both Naruto and Sasuke with Six Paths powers at the beginning of the series. Right now Sasuke, physically, is at his peak and when he comes back he should be strong enough to take down the likes of Otsutsuki. An ocular upgrade for his Mangekyo Sharingan is also a great opportunity.
I realize that Boruto started out as a sequel to Naruto, but due to Naruto's massive presence, it's been a pretty tough road to travel. Boruto has finally emerged as a true protagonist in his own right. But will he be a hero on par with his father? Or maybe even surpass him?
