Keys can be obtained in one of two ways in SAND: Raiders of Sophie:

Found scattered in large POIS (Forts, Towns).
Found inside Loot-Boxes buried in suspicious mounds of sand
Dropped from Elite NPCs, Corrupted Human Enemies

When players manage to get their hands on one Key, they can open any locked box. There are basically three types of boxes: Locked Tool Boxes, Locked Valuable Boxes and Locked Weapon Boxes.

Each of them has a distinct color: valuable boxes are gray, tool boxes are yellow, and weapon boxes are copper. They can be found in Shipwrecks (mostly), although there is also a chance to find them in Forts and other POIs.
