Roblox rolling out a number of improvements and changes to how their in-game reporting system works. These changes should make it easier for players to make their reports, and will also improve how the reports are handled by Roblox developer.
Keeping the players safe has been a big focus Robloxwith children being the primary demographic for the platform. Changes such as limiting which age groups can communicate with each other Roblox and adding facial age estimation features have been some of the steps taken by the developer. But there is certainly always room for improvement, and now Roblox helps players ensure their reports are received and accurately describe the issues they've experienced.

Roblox is updating the in-game reporting system
Roblox has announced a number of improvements to its reporting system, everything from making the report to getting answers to how the feedback was handled. Reporting has been simplified with a streamlined system that automatically adjusts its order of questions based on what a player reports. Players can initially flag one Roblox voice chat, text chat, games or players. From there, the game will offer certain categories when reporting, such as a player's inappropriate avatar, name, cheating, and so on. For example, when you report a player, a player can raise an alarm Roblox of rule-breaking activities such as scamming, swearing, sharing personal information, bullying and so on. Players are then given an option to block the offending player or suspend them to prevent further interactions.

internal, Roblox has also improved the process for how notifications are handled. Previous, Roblox would send each report to the “same place” which would then have to sort and forward the reports to the appropriate team for review. The new controls instead make it so that the report goes immediately to the relevant team, which should cut down on the amount of time it takes for action to be taken. Further, Roblox will now provide notifications when action is taken following a player report, such as suspending the offending player. In addition, Roblox announced that it will add a persistent inbox for players to view their previously submitted reports, if they resulted in an action taken by Roblox or not.
Roblox says its ultimate goal with this new system is to ultimately reduce the incidents that lead players to file reports in the first place. If successful, Roblox says players don't need to make reports as often, as the “most common issues” will be caught by the system and fixed quickly. Reports of less common and emerging issues will be fed to the system, which will learn to detect in-game issues before players themselves have to lift a finger. In theory, these changes should help to further improve the security of Roblox and interactions between players.
These changes come after many lawsuits against Roblox from individuals and lawmakers, who have argued that the game does not do enough to protect children. There have also been crimes allegedly committed by some users, such as in one case where a man reportedly kidnapped two underage girls after meeting them on Roblox. Criticism of security measures in online games has not been limited to RobloxBut as the UK government has reportedly considered taking steps to prevent children from interacting with strangers in all online games and chat platforms such as Discord, and is taking steps to keep children away from social media apps.
