In the post, Capcom employees are seen marking the occasion with cakes inspired by the game's main characters. Grace's cake features a white design with a zombie hand next to the message “Congratulations to 7 million.” On the other hand, Leon's cake has a darker theme, featuring his ax and the message “Welcome to 7m Leon!” This achievement follows Resident Evil Requiems previous record of 6 million copies sold in just 17 days, making it the fastest title in the series to reach the milestone.
Shipping over 7 million units in less than two months is a pretty impressive feat. Resident Evil Requiem also blew up on Steam at launch, peaking at 344,214 concurrent players. It continues to have an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from the majority of players on the Valve platform.
