Adrian has been writing, criticizing and thinking about games since he first bought an N64 controller many years ago. These days he writes reviews, news and features for Game Rant and believes that games should be held to the same artistic standards as books, movies and TV shows. When he's not writing for Game Rant, Adrian writes even more reviews for Sirus Gaming and enjoys geeking out about tech and retro gaming at HackerNoon. Outside of the gaming world, he spends a lot of time enjoying movies or listening to every genre of music under the sun. The latest news has not been too positive for Quantic Dream, the studio behind the long-awaited Star Wars Eclipsebut a new statement from the company says the game will continue as planned regardless. Star Wars Eclipse was announced almost five years ago, and since then Quantic Dream has been very quiet about the project.

All Star Wars Games Currently in Development (April 2026)

There are many Star Wars games currently in the works, and this is the comprehensive list of each project and their genres.

Amid pending layoffs and the ongoing developer strike, Quantic Dream issued a statement to IGN claiming that Star Wars Eclipse is still on track and has everything it needs to finish. While several developers on the strike line claim that the completion of Star Wars Eclipse is dependent on the 115 laid off Spellcaster's Chronicles staff who find a new home at Eclipse Quantic Dream claims that these developers have no bearing on the status of the project or its completion. The French studio ended its statement by saying its priority is to ensure all affected employees are supported and cared for when they leave, and declined to comment further.

“As previously mentioned, development of Star Wars Eclipse remains unaffected by the recent closure of Spellcasters Chronicles, a decision driven by the challenging market conditions in that segment…Development of Star Wars Eclipse continues as planned, with the full commitment of its team and all necessary resources to complete its mission.” – Quantic Dream (IGN)
