According to the player, they had just intended to release some junk at the landfill. But they discovered the systems “cooking under the sun” and decided to save them. As can be seen from one of the pictures, the player found a silver Dualshock 2 controls to use with the brackets as well.

It is currently unknown whether the PS2 consoles can still play games, as the Reddit user revealed that they were missing a TV that supported analog inputs. While pictures show the exterior of the machines in rough form, they could both be turned on. In the comments, the Reddit user revealed that they planned to get an adapter that would allow them to connect the systems to a newer TV. If the systems work properly, they plan to possibly get some physical games to play on them. So far, the discovery has been well received at Reddit, with users who thank the player to save the forgotten PS2s.

In addition to recovering these PS2 from a landfill, other players have shared unusual discoveries related to the consoles. Given how many of the popular consoles in nature, it is inevitable for them to show up when some people least expect it. For example, another PlayStation -Fan found an unopened PS2 package containing Lego Batman: The Video Name while visiting his father.
