According to some recent rumors, Marvel Rivals Season 2 will be the theme around 'Hellfire Gala', an annual university event that sees the Nation of Krakoa opening its doors to non-mutants for a large celebration of Mutantkind and the debut of a new X-Men team. Hellfire Gala has appeared in several one-shots in recent years, and it is a great way to showcase some extravagant costume design that are not exactly combat.
Doctor Doom 2099's latest story chapter in Marvel Rivals Finish with the villain saying he has “a gala to participate”, which can tease the rumored Hellfire gala theme for season 2.
Emma Frost is often at the forefront of Hellfire gala and uses her abilities to perform telepathic concerts and announces the new X-Men-line-up. Emma Frost has also been rumored strongly to show up in Marvel Rivals since December 2024, which can make her a likely choice for one of Marvel Rivals Season 2's new heroes.
It has also been strongly rumored that Krakoa and Arakko (the Mutant-Terraformed Mars) will be shown as maps in Marvel Rivals Season 2. These additions can pave the way for more X-Men characters to join the guard list, with Cyclops, Jean Gray, Beast, Colossus, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Nightcrawler and Professor X are all rumored on the cards for the future Marvel Rivals Seasons.

Blade has technically made its Marvel Rivals debut. Originally annoyed with a lockable Gallery card during the Eternal Night event Blad made its first proper look in the game with the publication of Empire of the Eternal Night: Central Park Map during Marvel Rivals“Mid season 1 update, where Daywalker can be seen imprisoned by Dracula.
It seems likely to Marvel Rivals Season 1 will end with the fact that Blade can be canonically release from his limitations, and that season 2 can start by joining the guard list, probably as a duelist.
Ultron
One of the first playable characters leaked for Marvel RivalsSeasons after launch, Ultron's entire ability-kits were data-like all the way back in December. According to the leaks, Ultron will be a strategist that uses its ultron drones to follow allies, grant bonus health and distribute shields to stop meetings. Although he is the leaked character with the most famous about them, Ultron still does not have a release window, and while he could show up in Marvel Rivals Season 2, it seems more likely that Netease saves him something later along the line.
