Since launching in March 2026 on Switch 2, Pokemon Pokopia has become one of the year's best cozy games so far. Despite the gloomy view that the world of Pokemon Pokopia presents at first, players have begun restoring some of the game's various buildings and landmarks in their own ways. From building massive houses that double as Pokemon habitats to restoring massive structures like the SS Anne in Bleak Beach, Pokemon Pokopia still offers many ways players can improve and restore the world as they see fit.

Pokopia Player carves out rocky ridges
Although others Pokopia players have placed Pokémon tributes in Rocky Ridges, one player created an impressive way to give the stone-covered region a complete makeover. On Pokopia subreddit, a Redditor named Identikitten shared a short video of the work they did throughout the Rocky Ridges. The main focus of Identikit's Rocky Ridge makeover project was to clear a path between the Pokemon Center and the museum, which is normally blocked by a mountain and piles of volcanic ash. Instead of working around the mountain, Identikit designed a direct path to the museum by removing the rock and ash that blocked the way, creating a walkway lined with rows of streetlights and homes neatly laid out.
Additionally, the Identikit also had some of the pre-existing infrastructure in Rocky Ridges in mind, as their route to the museum paralleled two restored mine wagon tracks. Several Pokemon, including Chatot, Diglett, and Machoke, can be seen briefly throughout Identikit's video. The Pokemon Pokopia the clip was shot using Ditto's Magnet Rise to soar high off the ground, giving viewers a clearer look at the renovations that took place. Along the path to Rocky Ridge's museum, Identikit showed glimpses of the houses they restored, adding a sense of comfort to the setting. Although Identikit did not enter the museum in its short video, the clip showed an impressive look at the front facade of the two-story building. The video ends with the Identikit panning the camera back towards the Pokemon Center to give viewers a look at how far the road stretches.
Pokopia's staying power remains strong
Considering the second Pokemon Pokopia players have completed makeover projects on levels like Bleak Beach, Identikit's efforts did not go unnoticed on social media. In response to Rocky Ridge's makeover video, some Pokemon Pokopia players commented how they were later tempted to try to clear the path between the Pokemon Center and the museum. Other Pokopia players said they hated having to dig through volcanic ash in their own game save files.
