Pokemon Pokopia has been a huge hit for Nintendo, but an unexpected one. The Pokemon spinoff was likely expected to sell modestly, like most Pokemon spinoffs, but all indications are that it has exceeded any expectations Nintendo may have had, hence the announcement that Pokopia is getting its own Switch 2 bundle.
Pokopia's Switch 2 bundle is announced
Nintendo shared a first look at its Pokopia Switch 2 bundle via its Australia and New Zealand Twitter account late Monday night, and that's the catch. As it stands, Australia and New Zealand are the only regions confirmed to receive the new package. However, given the availability of previous Switch 2 bundles and Pokopia's worldwide popularity, hopefully it's only a matter of time before it's confirmed for release elsewhere.

FOMO hits Switch 1 owners hard as Pokopia's Switch 2 Exclusivity stings
Switch 2 exclusives may finally convince people to jump ship.
This isn't just a bundle bundle like the one that gets you a Switch 2 with a copy of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for slightly less than if you were to buy them separately. It's an official bundle where the console gets its own console box art, just like the Mario Kart World bundle that came with the Switch 2 at launch, and the Pokémon Legends: ZA option that effectively took its place when the Mario Kart bundle sold out.
The timing of Pokopia's package shows how much its success has taken Nintendo by surprise
The main difference here between the first two packs and Pokopia's is when they were released. Both Mario Kart World and Pokemon Legends: ZA's packs were released at the same time as their respective games. The Pokopia bundle won't be here until June 5tha full three months after the game's release, confirmed that its success was a huge surprise, and Nintendo is currently trying to capitalize on it in any way it can.
As for what you get with the bundle, there are no official Switch 2 consoles yet, and no suggestion that we'll get any like we did for the original Switch, although it's early days – the Switch 2 isn't even a year old yet. It's simply a standard Switch 2 with a code for Pokopia, plus you get the added thrill of the aforementioned unique Switch 2 box art that the standard console doesn't have.
What Nintendo has neglected to reveal at this stage is how much this bundle will cost. Normally, you would assume that it will cost the same as the Pokemon Legends: ZA bundle, which cost $499.99, saving you $20. But with console prices rising elsewhere, there's no guarantee that Nintendo won't finally buckle and follow suit. As it stands, the Switch 2 is still priced the same as it was when it launched last June.
