The Pikmin Franchise is among Nintendo's most loved, which is proof of the lovely absurdity of the company's first party excursions. The series differs from best-selling AAA games because it is not too dependent on battle, Open-World Traversal or a dramatic, rescue story. Rather, Pikmin Encourages players to micromaniac small creatures to collect “taxes”, which are often simply everyday objects that seem remarkable to its foreign protagonists.
It is this irreverity that makes Pikmin So special, why it is all the more painful when years go without a correct release. A huge ten years separate Pikmin 3 from Pikmin 4with the series fanbase that stood on a little more than release and remaster during that decade, and although many would claim it Pikmin 4 Was well worth waiting, ten years seem to be a bit much. Of course, games should only ever be released when they are ready, but Nintendo may have additional incentives to put the pedal to the metal with Pikmin 5Since it would be particularly suitable for Switch 2's unique features.

An obvious Nintendo Switch 2 feature can be strange perfect for Pokemon
Nintendo Switch 2 promises some exciting changes, and a specific update of Joy-Cons can do wonders for Pokemon.
Hopefully Pikmin 5 will come to Nintendo Switch 2 sooner than later
Switch 2's mouse functionality would be a blessing for the Pikmin formula
PikminBasic mechanics boil down to aim and throw titular creatures at a variety of goals, although the practice in this game loop can change depending on hardware. Especially, Pikmin and Pikmin 2Originally released on Nintendo Gamecube, was launched with a fairly standard, predictable control scheme, but their game was very elevated by Nintendo Wii porters years later. At Wii, players have the opportunity to use Wiimote to aim and throw Pikmin, which is both more engrossing and more intuitive than the Standard Gamepad checks.
Will Nintendo Switch 2, Pikmin Franchise can again offer a new, easy way to get involved in its mechanics with the state of Joy-Con 2's muscular control. Scrub and click with Joy-Con 2S can enable more granular and specific maneuvers, reduce or directly remove the need to lock on; Locking on gets the job done, but it feels like a concession made for imprecision of a gamepad. Next Pikmin May be one of the best exhibitions of Joy-Con 2's mouse functions, at least within Nintendo's first-party range, so the series should make its debut on the platform before too long.
Pikmin 5 could have elevated co-op on switch 2
Mouse functionality would probably have the greatest impact on Pikmin 5Game-to-moment games, but other features of the new console can also affect the game. A somewhat obvious area for highlighting is cooperative game: Thanks to Switch 2's long dilapidated voice chat features, jumping online with another player can enable a much smoother multiplayer experience in the next Pikmin entry. Perhaps there may even be close-based voice chat, which would have the potential to change how teamwork and coordination work tremendously in co-op. Other unique switch 2 supplements, such as the Nintendo Switch 2 camera, can also be used for fun, suitably snapped multiplayer improvements.
Of course, many of these features can be applied to older items in the series, and Nintendo may very well choose to simply remaster, say, Pikmin 3 for switch 2 with such features in mind. However, the fact that Switch 2 is backward compatible can reduce the appeal of these release. And besides, it would be much better to experience a Pikmin Games that are specially built for Switch 2's new features and thus milk them for all they are worth.
