Yesterday, after three years of leaks and rumors that rumored in recent months, Bethesda officially revealed and released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster.
But more than a simple remaster, virtuous review of the game's images, added new assignments, new voting lines, a bunch of quality of life and introduced the origin of the almost 20-year title.

This effort also does not seem to have been in vain, which in combination with society's thirst for more older rolls, Oblivion Remaster has had the second largest single -player launch in 2025 to date, at least on Steam.
Just hours after Oblivion Remaster was launched, the game rushed to the highest of the first day's heights on Steam with a top of 182 298 players who jumped into the game at the same time, according to Steamdb. This is the second highest peak in all games with a player released this year, Behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's 256 206.
But especially, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 did not top until the weekend and reached its high five days after the match was launched. On launch day, Warhorse Studios RPG managed a peak of 159 351, which means that if Oblivion Remaster continues on the same course, the bark Beat KCD2 on Sunday evening. Not bad for a 20-year game.
There are a handful of multiplayer games that at least at this time have exceeded Oblivion remaster. Monster Hunter Wilds has had the biggest launch of the year and will hit a little blow, top almost 1.4 million players (the fifth highest peak in all games on Steam, ever), but other games like Split Fiction and Indie Darling Schedule 1 have so far reached higher heights.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster also still has a small way to go if it plans to beat Skyrim's top, with the often memorized title that beat 287,411 players 13 years ago. However, with the adoption rate for Oblivion Remaster, it would not be a major surprise to see that it exceeds its successor this weekend.
