The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival has just been announced. Developed by Odaclick Game Studio and published by Trailmark Games, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is an officially licensed beat-em-up currently set for release later this year.
The Walking Dead has had a bit of a tumultuous history in the video game landscape. While the franchise has had monumental peaks with the likes of Telltale's Walking Dead adventure game series, it has also experienced some notorious lows, such as 2013's The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct and the 2023s The Walking Dead: Destinies. It's been a while since the last really big one Walking Dead video games, but this newly announced beat-em-up could finally be the one to change that.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will be released in the fall of 2026
Produced in collaboration with AMC, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will see players take on the iconic roles of Rick Grimes, Michonne and Daryl Dixon as they hack, slash and blast their way through hordes of the undead. The story of the game is mainly based on the story of 'All Out War' from AMC Walking Dead show, which sees Rick and the rest of his crew locked in a brutal conflict with Negan and his small army of saviors. With this beloved story as a foundation, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will take players to a variety of familiar locations from the AMC show, including Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival promises to offer “hard-hitting arcade beat 'em up combat,” where players can use a variety of melee abilities and ranged attacks to wipe out enemies. Players will also have access to an arsenal of iconic weapons, including Rick's magnum, Michonne's katana, and Daryl's crossbow. In addition to regular Walkers and human Saviors, players will take down recognizable bosses inspired by the show, such as Well Walker and Winslow. Negan and Simon will also get their own time in the spotlight, the focus of “intense, multi-phase boss battles.”
Odaclick Game Studio was founded in 2019 and has launched over 20 video games, according to the developer's official website. The studio's latest release was The Karate Kid: Street Rumblean officially licensed beat-em-up that covered the events of the first three The Karate Kid films. The Karate Kid: Street Rumble received a mixed reception at launch, with the pixel art brawler receiving a 63 top critic score on OpenCritic and a 33% recommendation score. While the game's core combat mechanics were praised by most, The Karate Kid: Street Rumbles repetitiveness and lackluster boss battles were common criticisms among stores that reviewed it.

According to the game's official Steam page, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will launch in the fall of 2026. But if fans want to try this gory beat-em-up for themselves, they can do so right now by downloading a free Steam demo. While the demo appears to only be available for those on PC, the full game will launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
