The Milepost Zero update has introduced many new characters to the game. Fallout 76pp The latest region, Skyline Valley, is quickly becoming a central hub where many players choose to establish themselves. This latest update has brought in a handful of new characters with interesting stories, unique items, and more.
While the update has received some negative feedback regarding its recent content, if the caravan event feature can be expanded in the near future, the Milepost Zero update could just be the foundation for something much bigger. This list will go over the new characters introduced in this update.
1 Marley
The main character of the new update
- Responsible for giving the player caravan missions
- Upgrades for Milepost Zero and caravan events can be purchased through her
- Location: Milepost Zero
Marley seeks to expand the caravan network across the Skyline Valley region. She, like most of the other new characters, can be found inside Milepost Zero. Marley has taken on the role of interim manager as company leader. Joanna Mayfield, the owner, has left Marley to keep things running smoothly. Although she has a rather tough, no-nonsense exterior, she is actually a kind and caring person who wants to see trade routes improve throughout the region.
Marley has a rocky relationship with his father. She met him recently and he now works for the company. His name is Theodore. He is one of the characters that the player can hire as part of this update. Raising one's father is a bit of a sensitive subject. She doesn't really share many details.
Players must talk to Marley to start the Skyline Valley Caravan Events. She is also the one to talk to when it comes to spending supplies. Accessories are the latest currency introduced to the game with the Milepost Zero update. These can be used to hire help to drive caravans and buy items and upgrades.
2 Theodore
A tough-talking ghost dealer
- Costs SEK 150. Accessories
- He is the father of Marley
- Location: Milepost Zero
Theodore is the most costly worker to unlock. To buy him, players must drop off over 150 supplies to Marley. He's a pretty private guy who used to work for Vault-Tec. As I said, Theodore is Marley's father. Like Marley, Theodore doesn't like to talk about his personal life, so he gives the player very little information. As for his ability, he runs a shop. Although the shop does not sell much, if the player chooses to invest some supplies in upgrading Theodore, he will give the player a unique side quest. The player can obtain a unique weapon, the V63 Carbine upon completing this mission.
Not only that, but as the player continues to upgrade Theodore, he will begin selling a variety of plans to create mods for the V63 Carbine. While it's not the best weapon in the game, it's a lot of fun to use. Plus, it's a great collectible to hang on to.
3 Josie
The friendly Brahmin tamer
- Costs SEK 100. Accessories
- She helps make treadmills more efficient
- Location: Milepost Zero
Josie is a strange character. Although she applied to work as a Brahmin tamer, she has little experience in the field. Also, she is not very fond of animals. Despite these drawbacks, she is surprisingly good at her job. As the player progresses through the levels, they will be able to purchase tons of upgrades through Marley, which will help Josie make running caravans more efficient.

25 Fallout 76 Beginner Tips
Fallout 76 is significantly different from other games in the series, so players will need to take advantage of these tips to succeed in the game.
From upgrades that increase the Brahmin's haste to ones that make the Brahmin have more health, there are tons of upgrades that can be applied to the Brahmin to increase the chance of completing caravan events. While her upgrades seem good on the surface, not all of them are worth investing supplies in. Improving the Brahmin's health is a good way to go. But aside from that, many of the other add-ons that players can purchase aren't that useful.
4 Ineke
A trader with some unique plans
- Costs SEK 150. Accessories
- Sells unique plans to the player
- Location: Milepost Zero
Ineke is a friendly but slightly odd character. Once hired, she can be found sitting in a back room inside Milepost Zero. Before coming to Appalachia, she worked moving cargo across the ocean. Ineke has spent most of her life traveling, learning everything possible along the way.
As for her use to the player, she sells a variety of unique plans. These plans can only be obtained by purchasing them through her. Although there have been reports of players not being able to see her inventory, traveling outside the location and back in usually resolves the issue. At level 1, she has the following plans that players can purchase:
- Temporary wine rack
- Noren Gardiner
- Park Ranger Supply Box
- Persian tapestry
- Rolled Persian rugs
5 Axis
The decorator
- Costs 125 Accessories
- Offers players the ability to decorate Milepost Zero's interior
- Location: Milepost Zero
Axel is a little boy that can be rented for 125 supplies. He is accompanied by Gyro, a non-hostile guard robot. Axel offers nothing to help the player during caravan events. Instead, he decorates the interior of Milepost Zero. The more the player upgrades him, the more decorative options they will have. Since the interior of Milepost Zero is considered an instance, it is unique to everyone. So, with the help of Axel, players can change the interior of Milepost Zero to suit their taste.
Since Axel deals largely in cosmetics, it's worth hiring him last, as he doesn't offer anything particularly useful. Also, the themes available for players to choose from are not very exciting. In fact, there have been quite a few players disappointed by the lack of decorative options.
