Horikoshi, mangaka by My Hero Academiahas recently recommended a brand new manga for fans to read, called Ichi the Witch.

The Ichi the Witch manga is one of the latest additions to Weekly Shonen Jump, having only started serialization in early September 2024, making it only about 4 months old now that January 2025 has begun. So far, the manga has a total of 16 chapters, and the first volume of this manga will be released in Japan on January 4th this year.

This interesting manga is written by author Osamu Nishi and drawn by Shiro Usazaki. Artist Usazaki may also be known to some readers for his work on Act-Age. But the manga was canceled and now she has moved to this new work.

What is Ichi the Witch about?

In a world where it is believed that only women can become witches, a boy named Ichi, after whom the series is named, becomes the very first male witch. The world of Ichi the Witch has monsters known as Majiks. Defeating them is what allows one to become a witch, a feat Ichi was able to accomplish.
