MrBeast is not a stranger to controversy – just ask the people who have had the pleasure of opening a moldy lunch bar. He is a man who loves the limelight, who sometimes gets him into a place of trouble, especially when it comes to his more detailed videos. But his latest video has received a little more attention than usual.
The video is called “would you risk dying for $ 500,000” and have several individuals who perform dangerous stunts for huge amounts of money. So far so much MrBeast, but a challenge seemed particularly much more dangerous than the rest, and saw a man tied on a chair and left inside a burning room. He would have to break away from his limitations and grab as many bags of cash as he could before the room burned to the ground.
Mr. Beast responds to backlash after caught stuntman in Burning Building
If you think it sounds a little intense for an MrBeast video you're not the only one. When the video went live, it was immediately shared on social media by the relevant spectators, who called the Influencer -Proon and claimed that he again replaced the financial struggle for ordinary people. One person even made a fairly suitable comparison with octopus games and found that people will be in danger regardless of the risk if large sums are on line.
After a rather intense relapse, Mrbeast eventually clarified things in a post on Twitter (thanks the BBC) and claimed that the man in the burning building was a professional stuntman, and that the stunt himself had been tested extensively. He claims everyone that there was ventilation for the smoke, a death switch for the fire itself and that he takes security “more serious than you could ever imagine.”
Of course, it would be nice if we could simply take him by his words, but people probably have the right to be worried about the safety of the people in his videos when reporting people who have been hospitalized on his watch. In a mood that was submitted last year, five competitors from his octopus-inspired television show Beast Game claim that several people suffered “physical and mental complications while exposed to chronic abuse.”
Earlier this year, a new report claimed that a crew member of Beast Game called Sam claimed that he was a victim of a “preventable” accident on set and received Doordash and Uber Eat gift card as compensation. It is not the type of report that paints MrBeast in a good light and definitely does not suggest that he takes security “more seriously than you could ever imagine.” He could have improved things since then, but it's not like people have no reason to worry.
