Mindseye launches to mostly negative steam reviews and is called “unplayable”

Summary

  • Mindseye's edition is plagued by technical problems, which leads to a most negative rating on Steam.

  • Social media clips of bizarre bugs are already shared, including cars that are merged and NPC falling apart when they are easily dropped with vehicles.

  • Mindseye is already compared to the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077, requests a refund and believes it is a “technical disaster”.

Mindseye has been in the news pretty much recently, and not for the best reasons. A few days before the release, a Rocket Boy's Co-Cee Mark Gerhard built that everything negative noise around the game after previews came from paid actors, which was a comment that went down as well as you can expect.

Flush forward to the game's release earlier today, and it turns out that the negative previews may have been negative for a reason. Mindseye is currently sitting with a steam rating with mostly negatives, and when you look at social media after cutting the game in action, you start to see why.

Mindseye's technical problems were an immediate problem, as clips of bizarre bugs and the game's horrible performance began to spread throughout social media. A Twitter user named Niktekofficial is just one of the people who share their bizarre experiences, as they published a short video of civilians who randomly run through the air, horrible stuttering and cars that are merged into each other and randomly jumped in the air.

Mindseye is also about to have this year's scariest mistakes, as it looks like civilians really don't like it when you drive them slowly. Twitter users Slashlp89 and Viktorlindn share videos of this error, as they slowly meet NPCs who then continue to fall completely apart and ragdoll in a horrible mess of tangled limbs, before they were told that they failed their mission.

Surprisingly, all these issues have those who were unfortunate enough to have bought the game and claim that it definitely needed a delay and noticed it a “complete technical disaster”. It is also compared to Cyberpunk 2077's catastrophic launch, which was so bad that Playstation had to remove the game completely from the store until the CD project Red got the game in a working state.

On top of all this, Mindseye is also run very badly on PC and PS5, tormented with constant crashes and is locked to 30 fps over all consoles. You can see more than a few people who claim that they have already requested refunds, and Mindseye could possibly go down as one of the worst games of the year.
