Microsoft has responded to reports that the next generation Xbox Console can be interrupted. Rumors have been circulating throughout the weekend that a variety of factors can lead to Microsoft interrupting the next Gen Xbox console, and the company has officially emerged with a statement.
On October 4, Neogaf user Sneakersso, who has a history of providing Microsoft Insider information, took the NEOGAF table boards to give alleged details about what is happening at Microsoft. Sneakerso claims that the announcement of Customs calls At the Xbox Game Pass, the company cost millions of dollars and has put the next gene console plans “up in the air.” Some employees were said to be that the next gene console would have to be ready as early as 2026. Sneakerso also says that Xbox will focus more on software in the future.
Microsoft gives a statement about first party consoles
Microsoft made a statement on October 5 that it is still investing in the future for its first party console. “We are actively investing in our future first party consoles and units designed, constructed and built by Xbox. For more information, society may review our contractual announcement with AMD.” In June 2025, Microsoft announced that Xbox and AMD entered a multi-year partnership, with AMD that runs the next generation Xbox console. Microsoft hopes that the partnership will improve the player experience by getting improved image and advanced graphics.
The statement comes after a few weeks of Xbox sensations that have not sat well with players. On October 1, Xbox announced a price increase for the Xbox Game Pass, with the ultimate edition that increased by 50% to $ 29.99 per month for access to day-one games and online multiplayer. Within a few hours after the announcement, the Xbox user crashed the site and tried to cancel their subscriptions. Players then began to label ads on their Xbox home screens for Game Pass in an attempt to win them back. Although this is not the first time Xbox has raised its Game Pass prices, it will be on the heels for the Xbox series X and S consoles, along with the upcoming Xbox Rog Ally X which is priced at $ 999 when launched on October 16.
Costco's removal of Xbox consoles from its stores and websites over also aroused rumors about the next gene console. Costco stated that the move was “a business decision” and that the stores would no longer carry the Xbox consoles forward.
