Marvel Rivals had a hot launch with Season 0. But while it was exciting enough with 33 characters, a handful of maps, and a late winter event, Season 0 was just a fun prequel to Season 1.
Not much has changed since Season 0, Dooms' Rise, aside from the fact that many characters received buffs and/or nerfs, Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman have joined the roster, two new maps have been introduced – Eternal Night Falls: Midtown and Eternal Night Falls: Sanctum Sanctorum – and a new Battle Pass called Darkhold has been introduced. Here, Eternal Night Falls is yet another rarity in terms of the amount of content players should expect future seasons to have, though one feature debuting in Season 1 will hopefully be explored in subsequent seasons: Midnight Features, especially since they coincide with the Gallery's series in Marvel Rivals.

It's unclear how much of a hand notorious editor-in-chief J. Jonah Jameson has in his publication's headlines. Still, game challenges presented via interactive Daily Bugle articles are a nice, immersive surprise Marvel Rivals further into its source material.
Season 0 actually teased gallery comics as a recurring collection of rich lore and gorgeous artwork earned via Battle Passes and seasonal event challenges, and Midnight Features emulating a Daily Bugle newspaper to facilitate related quests is a wonderful UI touch in Marvel Rivals' menu. For a live service game based on Marvel comic book history, devoting a stylish graphic novel to long-term progression and storytelling is a brilliant way to appeal to the sweet tooth. Also, special edition comic books in the gallery that it brings Marvel Rivals' Winter Celebration will continue to celebrate future events.

Marvel Rivals' midnight features are another immersive outlet for world-building Midnight Features can be enticing to anyone looking to claim its exclusive rewards, such as a cherubic Mr. Fantastic spray or additional devices—Marvel Rivals' blue currency, which is spent on costumes and cosmetic bundles.
But those dying to tear up Season 1's comic book and read it back-to-back with Season 0's will be pleased to see that many of its gallery cards are rewarded for the completion of each set of challenges in Eternal Night Falls Midnight Features . Of course, since Season 1 is planted in New York City where the Daily Bugle's printing presses are located, there's a chance that Midnight Features' selection of missions is exclusive to Eternal Night Falls and may no longer be around when it wraps up in about three months.
Midnight Features packages common gaming challenges into a delightful Daily Bugle publication format. As such, it will be interesting to see if future seasons have their own unique presentation of associated challenges or simply continue to push out gallery series and magazine issues in Marvel Rivals.
Having each season have its own standout presentation for gallery-related quests and rewards would be fascinating and flex a creative muscle on NetEase's part, and yet the Daily Bugle's midnight features would be sorely missed. That said, this season's Midnight Features only last a few weeks now, and with Eternal Night Falls lasting three months, it will be interesting to see what means are implemented for players to earn the final three gallery cards of the series.
