I can't believe that they turned Mario Kart into titanium case

Wall run in Mario Kart World? What will Nintendo think about the next?

But Nintendo fans will look forward to first party games like Mario Kart World the most. The biggest new feature in the title is the Free Roam mode, which allows your friends and you to run all over the combined map in your spare time and explore different tracks and regions. Of course, this map will contain a number of secrets.

Mario Kart World has bonus -secret vehicles all over the map

As pointed out by Mads on Twitter, the free Roam mode will contain some secret vehicles that you will be able to command and drive around in their huge world. During a recent practical event, they encountered a hovercraft in the middle of the sea. Simply driving into it lets them seamlessly take control of it and ride the waves.

It seems that these bonus vehicles will also be available in some competitions, as the comments suggest, which gives you access to a new part of the track and maybe even an advantage. Other comments noted that there is also a semi-truck that you can find and drive around. But since your base vehicle can also run on water, it is unclear what benefit these vehicles will give you.

Donkey Kong definitely knows he's naked in Mario Kart World

Nintendo has turned a beloved monkey into a sick perverse.

In competitions, they can let you use an otherwise inaccessible shortcut or give you a boost or power-up of some kind. Either way, the seamless nature of it, and the fact that they drive a little differently than the usual maps is a nice little touch of devs to make the open word seem a little more interactive.

Our own Eric Switzer wrote about how Mario Kart World has borrowed Some features from popular games, such as Rail Males from the Tony Hawk series, wall driving (driving) from titanfall and knockout competitions from Need for Speed. Not because there is something wrong with it – they led perfectly to the next generation of Mario Kart.

By allowing us to command these vehicles in the massive open world, Mario Kart World may have borrowed from another popular series, as a comment pointed out – “several playable characters, run, open world, cutting vehicles. Close enough. Welcome back GTA V.”
